How to Solve Pearl Puzzle

This puzzle looks really hard, and it’s easy to get yourself all mixed up. But the actual solution only takes a few moves.

Reset

Reset the puzzle. Here’s what it looks like after being reset:

Starting positions

Set the two small circles as shown (red is left, purple is right). Don’t rotate the big circle yet.

Rotate big circle

Rotate the big circle fully, until the red and purple pearls get moves to their respective circles.

Here’s what it will look like once you do this:

Rotate purple

Rotate purple anticlockwise twice (ie. move by 2 pearls), so it looks like this:

Rotate red

Rotate red clockwise once, so it looks like this:

Rotate big circle again

Fully rotate to move beads into their respective sections, like this:

Last positions

Move the remaining beads into position.

Rotate big circle for the final time

Complete the puzzle.
