A Dream?

When you first start the game you’ll wake up in a pitch black void with some old man in front of you. There’s no dogs here so we can just ignore this area completely, though you will have to talk to the man to escape this void and reach Coco the Dog.

To move, use the WASD keys or the Arrow Keys to walk up to the old man, then press E to talk to him.

He’ll ask you some questions, blah blah blah, then tell you your soul is red or blue or whatever the color of the last skittle you ate was. Then finally let you leave.

Getting Dressed

Next thing you know, you’re waking up in a cold sweat because you were in a horrible nightmare where you were trapped in an empty void without any dogs. But don’t worry it was just a dream!

Now you’ll want to get some clothes because you can’t go around petting dogs naked, weirdo. So just walk over to the chest towards the left of you and open it by pressing E! Once you’re dressed and ready you can finally leave your room and start heading out on your adventure to pet dogs!

Path to Coco

When you leave your room you’ll find that there’s some yellow arrows on the ground, but you can just ignore those, they want you to become a mage or something. You’re here to pet dogs, not do magic!

Walk straight past the other creepy old man who calls himself your Academy Guide or something like that, there’s no dogs at the academy so wherever that is I don’t want no part of it. Now you can exit the Inn, and begin your boundless adventure of petting dogs to your heart’s content!

The nearest and only dog in ManaSoul is actually very close to you! His name is Coco and he is a very good boy, located right behind the Inn you’re in. To get to Coco go towards your right and up through the city square, then left around to the back of the Inn, you’ll see Coco right there!

Pets

You’re finally here! You did it! Now you can pet Coco to your heart’s content!

To pet Coco walk close enough to pet him, face Coco and press E, this will open up the pet option.

Now just click Pet and enjoy all the fluffy pets, scritches, and scratches you could ever want!

Congratulations now you know how to pet a dog in ManaSoul!

There’s even a helpful counter that tells you how many times Coco has been pet, make sure to raise it as high as it can go!
