Missiles Away – How to Survive

A quick guide on how to deal with the early game enemies.

Guide to Survive

If You Ain’t Reading All That

  • Destroy the big towers as soon as possible by hitting their big red weak points.
  • Shoot the core of the laser towers.
  • Use missiles on swarm type enemies.
  • The grapple hook is you best friend.

Note: You might wanna read all that tho.

Spawn Towers

Spawn Towers are the main source of enemies as they will periodically spawn drones. They can only be destroyed by hitting their red bright weakpoints.

Towers rotate over time, making some weakpoints difficult to reach. Using the grapple hook to quickly maneuver around a tower to hit the weakpoints on the other side is a good way of dispatching them quickly. A second of sustained gunfire or a well placed missile strike will destroy any weakpoint.

However, more advanced players might prefer to keep one or more towers alive at all times, as they will keep spawning new enemies, which can be destroyed for extra XP.

Higher level towers will spawn further into the run, these towers have more weakpoints that needs to be destroyed, and will spawn bigger groups of drones.

Drones

Drones are the main enemies of the game, they always come in groups (group size depends on the level of the tower that spawned them) and they will simply try to crash into you. They make a very distinct noise when close-by.

Any explosive weapon will kill them in one hit, and a well placed missile will instakill an entire group. The grapple hook can (and should) be used to quickly get a away from them.

Some drones might be hiding behind the towers or slower enemies, these can catch you off guard so always keep an eye out for them.

Higher level drones will spawn further into the run, these might survive single missile strikes and will move faster (even faster than YOU in fact (They also look cooler, no spoilers tho)).

Laser Towers

These towers are basically giant lightsabers swung at you. While they are easy to dodge, they can easily catch you off-guard while you are busy dealing with other enemies.

A laser tower in the distance

They have a single weak point located at the point the laser is emitted from, very easy to hit and destroy with an automatic weapon. it’s difficult to hit them with missiles, but if you manage to do so it’s an instakill.

Big Guys

They will slowly creep behind you, they have a big hitbox and an enormous health pool. Hitting them with automatic weapons gives them a significant speed boost, so using missiles or the multishot cannon is the safest way of dealing with them.

Conclusion

This concludes my guide on how to deal with all the early game enemies. Feel free to share your own tactics and strategies.

I’m planning to make a separate, longer guide on how to use all the weapons available. In the meantime, keep on surviving!
