Introduction

Сrеdit gоеs to Lone Wolf !

This guide should help players understand how their archetype and starting stats affect the gear they start the game with. It also include stats for archetypes and team members.

This will not provide advice on creating a good character.

Gear

Firstly, weapon choice is independent of the character created. No matter what archetype and stats your character has, they will always have the same six choices for weapons:

  • Fichetti Security 500 (Pistol)
  • Beretta Model 70 (SMG)
  • AK-97 (Rifle)
  • Sawed Off Benelli (Shotgun)
  • Throwing Knives
  • Old Machete

Next, the primary purpose of this short guide: the rest of the gear received from the van. The gear is dependent on archetype, and starting stats if no archetype is selected.

Every character, regardless of archetype and stats will receive:

  1. BuMoNa Trauma Kit
  2. 1250 nuyen

Additionally, the archetypes receive:

Street Samurai

  1. Frag Grenade
  2. Basic Medkit

Mage

  1. Powerbolt spell
  2. Manabolt spell
  3. Heal Wound spell (this is the only way to start with this spell)

Decker

  1. Sony CTY-360 cyberdeck
  2. Erosion program
  3. Frag Grenade
  4. Basic Medkit

Shaman

  1. Force 1 Air Elemental Fetish
  2. Haste spell
  3. Acid Bolt spell
  4. Basic Medkit

Rigger

  1. Doberman drone
  2. Simple Drone Repair Kit

Physical Adept

  1. Killing Hands spell
  2. Flashbang Grenade (this is the only way to start with a flashbang)
  3. Basic Medkit

All characters without an archetype additionally start with:

  1. Frag Grenade
  2. Basic Medkit

Characters without an archetype may start with more additional gear depending on their starting stats. A character will receive all of the ones they qualify for. Some of them have conflicting requirements:

Chi Casting > 0

  • Killing Hands spell

Conjuring > 0

  • Haste spell

Summoning > 0

  • Force 1 Air Elemental Fetish

The following last four gear packages have mutually exclusive requirements with one exception:

Custom Mage: Spellcasting > 0 AND Spellcasting >= Conjuring

  1. Powerbolt spell
  2. Manabolt spell

Custom Shaman: Conjuring > 0 AND Conjuring > Spellcasting AND (Drone Control = 0 OR Spellcasting > 0)

  1. Acid Bolt spell

Custom Rigger: Drone Control > 0 AND Spellcasting = 0

  1. Doberman drone
  2. Simple Drone Repair Kit

Custom Decker: Decking > 0 AND Spellcasting = 0 AND Drone Control = 0

  1. Sony CTY-360 cyberdeck
  2. Erosion program

So of the final four gear packages, the only two that can be received together are the Custom Shaman and Custom Decker.
