Backup the original files

Browse the local files for the Battlefront collection on Steam, and navigate to the data2 folder, then the _lvl_common folder. At the bottom of this folder are a bunch of files which end in the extension *.lvl. Make a backup of these files so that you can restore them if you wish to undo these changes. (You can alternatively verify the game’s files on Steam to do this)

Locate Original Battlefront 2 Install

You need to locate your original Battlefront 2 install. If you have it on steam, you can simply browse it’s local files.

Once you get to the base directory of the original version of Battlefront 2, navigate to the data folder, then the _lvl_pc folder.

At the bottom of this folder should be a bunch of files which have the *.lvl extension. Copy these.

Paste and Replace files

Finally, after copying the files from original Battlefront 2, in the Battlefront collection, browse the local files and navigate to data2, and then to _lvl_common, then paste and replace the files. Next time you boot up the game, you will have the original UI!

Reverting the changes

If you ever want to revert these changes, you can either verify the game’s files on Steam, or paste your backup over the changed files.
