Useful Tips for Boss Fights

The higher difficulties are meant to test your mastery of the combat system as well as boss mechanics.
- Taunt at every phase change.
- Use bombs to clear defense buffs.
- Orbitar. If you’re going with the charge shot, make sure you never max your mana. Or bind it to a trigger, hold it down, and spam reg shots the whole fight.
- Build that style meter. If you’re just spamming the basic (or alt) combo, then you’re severely gimping your damage output.
- Badges/Sigils. There’s a reason you can swap them out at any time for free. Tweak them until you have the right loadout for a particular boss. This also ties into all of the above. There’s a badge that alternately buffs your reg/alt combo. Badges that buff based on style rank. Bomb cancels. Orbitar buffs for every possible way to use them. And plenty of others.
If you don’t do any of the above and treat every boss fight like the MGS torture sequence, then yeah it’s gonna take forever and give you arthritis.
