The Experiment – 100% Full Achievement Guide

A quick walkthrough to aid in your hunt for this game’s achievements.

How to Obtain All Achievements

Сrеdit gоеs to Languorwine!

Introduction

Welcome to this achievement guide! You can find information on all of the achievements below.

Note that this guide was created off version 1.38 of the game. Future versions may or may not alter the strategies or achievements in this guide.

Achievements

So… that’s what it looks like

  • Die for the first time

This will likely be accomplished in normal play. Start a new game and find the creature. Run into it or let it come to you; you will pass away and the achievement is yours.

Wowzers

  • Play with a Coffee cup

Obtainable in several locations, one of which is the tutorial. Approach a coffee cup and press the interact button on it. It should move a small amount, and the achievement will unlock.

The Key Master

  • Pickup 30 Key Cards

Key cards will be collected organically as you play, and you may or may not unlock this as you go through the levels. If you are looking to farm key cards, the tutorial is one of the best options. Pickups in the tutorial level count towards the Key Master and Collector achievements, and the key card will always spawn in the same room down the hall from where you begin.

By replaying the tutorial, 30 key cards can be obtained in less than 10 minutes. You do not have to finish the level or tutorial for a pickup to count towards the achievement.

Are you pizza?

  • Find the secret in the 3rd location

In the third playable level, collect the green key card and gain access to the green room. Between two shelves on the ground is a spirit box. Interact with it to obtain the achievement. It can be difficult to get in the right position to interact with it and may take a few tries.

In testing, all players in the lobby will get the achievement when one person interacts with the spirit box, but if you would like to be safe or didn’t receive it then you should interact with it yourself.

The Explorer

  • Find the secret in the Tutorial

After spawning in the tutorial, proceed down the hall and pick up the yellow key card. Make your way to the creature, currently relaxing behind glass in the x-ray room. Go right up to the glass and wait for roughly 20 seconds. Then head back to the room where you spawned.

You should see the back wall has disappeared, so head through the opening and out of the building. Keep heading straight through the dark field. You may have to wander a bit left to get around a hill. Approach the reddish glow when you see it, and the achievement should unlock.

Ronald Messy

  • Get a score of 100 in the Ball Juggle minigame

If this is possible without glitching the physics/collisions, I would not know how. This is a tricky achievement, and generally involves getting the ball stuck somewhere where it won’t bounce and remains off the ground. There are a few different places this can be done, and it may take some attempts to get right, but here’s what worked for me.

Move the ball up against this couch located by the door. Then open the door while you stand next to the ball, and the ball should remain in place. Your character should also be ‘trapped’ between the door and the couch.

At this point the ball lies between the couch, wall, door, and you. Walk towards the ball a bit as you begin interacting with it. After a few attempts where it flies out of place, you may notice it gets stuck and floats in place without touching the ground, allowing you to continually interact with it and reach a score of 100.

The Collector

  • Pickup 1000 bottles total

It is….unlikely that this would be attained through regular play. The fastest way to farm bottles is the tutorial. All 12 bottles (and the key card) will spawn in the same room down the hall from where you start in a small set of possible locations.

As with key cards, you don’t have to finish the tutorial for the pickups to count. After the first few tries a whole loop (spawning in, waiting for the door to open, running and picking up 12 bottles, returning to menu) can be done in about 20 seconds. At that pace of ~36 bottles/minute you would reach 1000 in a bit under 30 minutes, and less than that if you are already starting with a few hundred.

Hope you found this helpful!
