Bases

The Pollux cult was originally based on a traditional sacrifice from the XVth century.

Occuring during moonless nights, the ritual to honor the dead relatives from the group consisted in spilling the blood of twin children, considered magic due to the particular connection between them.

A handful centuries later was born Noah Morissette. At first meant to be sacrificed, his twin died at birth and Noah dedicated his life to help the cult fulfilling the mission he failed to accomplish, convinced thereby to guide humanity towards salvation.

1927 – Fateful

Bertram Wildberger found out about the cult and quickly made it his own sacred mission. His beliefs only grew stronger after the tragic death of his wife Christine in 1932.

1941 – Harbinger

Bertram’s son William, one day hurried by genuine curiosity, followed his dad through a tortuous path within the Wildberger manor. After stumbling across the most peculiar scene he’s ever witnessed, he discreetly ran away from a dozen cult members wearing odd ceremony outfits.

1964 – Twins’ Birth

Daughters of William Wildberger and Maria Morissette, twins Emma and Anna were born on June 25th.

1967 – Family Reunion

When the hospital he was directing burned down, Bertram decided to open a temporary clinic inside his own manor. Shortly after, William moved back into his childhood abode with his wife and their young twins, caring to help his dad as a doctor. They were joining Father Francesco who was kindly looking over the place in their absence.

Later this year, Maria got pregnant. Although she had no idea the fœtus was the first experiment from the cult living within the walls of their new home, she started to feel depressed.

On October, Father Francesco died from unknown circumstances and Maria’s father Noah took on himself to replace him, moving in with the rest of the family.

1969 – Heaping Up Sorrow

When William’s wife suffered a second miscarriage, Anna was hired to help her cope while the healthy twins were celebrating their 5th birthday.

1971 – Slumber

After the third failed pregnancy, Maria’s mental state severely worsen until her husband decided to put her in an artificial coma. Hopeful to spare her from suffering, William began to work on a cure to save his beloved one.

1979 – Oncoming Ritual

Bertram and Noah were aware of the soon to come moonless night and radiations started to emit from the manor’s basement.

1980 – Sacrifice

Between Novemeber 11th and 15th, Noah eventually took the twins for the sacrifice.

Maria managed to wake up from her slumber in a desperate attempt to save her daughters while Bertram, seemingly realizing the dark side of the cult he was so far worshipping, tried to help the girls escape.

He died a few weeks later from radiations while trapping the remaining Pollux members underground, wishful to put an end to the countless tragedies that occurred in his manor.

When William returned from a common work trip at the end of the month however, both his twin girls were missing, his dad was deceased and his wife sicker than ever.

Little did he know that Anna was kept imprisoned by her grandfather underneath the manor and her sister presumed dead after falling from the bridge during their unsuccessful escape try.

1982 – Collateral Havoc

Regular disappearances were taking place within the clinic walls as William was tirelessly working on Maria’s treatment.

1994 – The Cure

In year 1994, William eventually found a cure for his wife. When she opened her eyes, Maria’s last words were to reveal him that her dad took their daughters away back in 1980.

Noah however, with no intention for his dark deeds to be unveiled to the world, poisoned his son-in-law’s glass of wine.

In the mean time, and besides having completely repressed the traumatizing events from her childhood, Emma was on her way to the manor, fairly decided to uncover the truth hiding behind the mysterious picture of twin girls she received.

Though when entering the place uninvited, she immediately got knocked out by her father.

William, unable to recognize her and still looking out for patients to improve his medicine at the time, kept her alive along medical machineries on the first floor of the clinic.

After waking up in a bathtub, astray, naked and missing one of her eye, Emma slowly started to uncover her own story.

She learned about the hell her sister went through since present day Emma, travelling back in time with the help of video tapes scattered around the house, freed her from her cell back in 1980. Since then, Anna, terrified but alive, kept on hiding within the endless gloomy hallways beneath the manor, with the one hope, guardian of her sanity for years, to contact her twin through dreams and mirrors, anxious to warn her not to come back in this cursed place.

But Noah eventually found her. Understanding that both twin were alive and nearby, he started to think back of the ritual. Anna then removed her own eyes, hopeful to sabotage the sacrifice for good and spare her twin’s life. In the end, Emma found herself able to give her sister the cure, allowing her to rest along both their parents.

However she had to replace the twin eyes in order to enter the bunker far underneath the manor. During a final time travel, she performed the surgery on her past self still lying unconscious in the bathtub.

In the bunker, Noah ended up cutting his own wrists, convinced that his faithful blood would be enough to fully awaken the creature of Pollux. He eventually died from his injuries and Emma, after having thoroughly slaughtered the numb irradiating fiend lying down the manor basement for countless decades, walked out from her past home.
