Making The Crossover

As you can see you will need a section of double track.

Make sure that the sections are long enough to fit the entire train.

Make a signal at the forward end of both tracks (this diagram is with right hand driving).

Now it should work.

It is most efficient if the crossing point is in the middle of the single track section.

You can also do this with stations. Either making it a one-way single track station or a two-way double track station.
