Tree Simulator 2022 – How to Run the Game in the Background

Want to rack up your treetime, but don’t want to keep the game constantly running on fullscreen? In this guide I will show you how to run Tree Simulator 2022 in the background.

Launching the Game Through Batch Mode

In the Steam client, open the properties window for Tree Simulator 2022.

  • Right-click Tree Simulator 2022 in your library > Properties…
    Or…
  • Open Tree Simulator 2022 in your library > click on the cog icon > Properties…

Under the General tab, you should be able to find the launch options.

Insert this code into the text field:

-batchmode

Now whenever you launch Tree Simulator 2022 it will run in the background.

If you want to close the game, open Tree Simulator 2022 in your library and click on the “Stop” button.

Alternatively you can also end the task through task manager.

Make sure to close the game before shutting down your computer as it could lead to resetting your treetime to a previous state!

Launching the Game Normally Again

Want to launch the game normally again so that you can check your treetime?

Open the properties window for Tree Simulator 2022 again.

  • Right-click Tree Simulator 2022 in your library > Properties…
    Or…
  • Open Tree Simulator 2022 in your library > click on the cog icon > Properties…

Under the General tab, remove the code from the launch options text field.

Now you can launch Tree Simulator 2022 in fullscreen again.
