Standard Fix

The game has a functional mouse implementation, but its mouse handling can cause significant input delay when using a high polling rate.

To fix the issue:

1. Open your mouse manufacturer’s software, such as Razer Synapse, CORSAIR iCUE, or Logitech G HUB.
2. Change your mouse’s wired or wireless polling rate to 125 Hz.
3. Launch the game and test the mouse input to confirm whether the delay has been resolved.

This workaround requires keeping the polling rate at 125 Hz until the issue is addressed by a game update.

Beta Branch Workaround

Konami has also released a workaround in the game’s beta branch. This is particularly useful if you cannot change your mouse polling rate because your mouse does not have compatible configuration software or because of Linux compatibility issues.

When using this workaround, a higher mouse polling rate can be used instead of limiting it to 125 Hz.

To switch to the beta branch:

1. Right-click METAL GEAR SOLID: Peace Walker in your Steam library.
2. Select Properties.
3. Open Game Versions & Betas.

6. Select the beta branch and allow the game to update.
