Introduction
Unexpected End is a very short escape the room game with a total of five different endings. This guide will direct you through the entire game step by step. Therefore, it contains dramatical spoilers which are not marked.
Important Notes:
- The game and its achievements are extremely bugged.
- Some achievements won’t unlock after loading the last save.
- I recommend you restarting the game to obtain the ending achievements.
- Starting a new game after saving results in a game-breaking bug. Make sure to restart the entire game before starting a new playthrough.
- The “Loop hole” achievement is probably not implemented and hence broken.
- The developers abandoned their game in February 2018.
Main Branch
After waking up get out of the car and enter the living room. Interact with the landline phone:
Go to the kitchen and take a knife:
Open the freezer:
Super Cold
It’s cold here
Open the left drawer of the desk and take the duct tape:
Walk towards the stairs and enter the cubby. Use knife and duct tape to restore the power:
Go upstairs and enter the first bedroom. Obtain Emma’s smartphone:
Head back to the corridor and go to the right. There is a charger on one of the book shelves:
Go downstairs and enter the kitchen. Interact with the central plug socket:
Interact with the smartphone and enter the PIN: 1988. Open “Contacts” and call “Boyfriend”:
Walk towards the fireplace and take the red can of oil:
Head back to the bedroom and open the bath door. Pick up the bloody hammer:
Break one of the windows and go around the house until you discover two graves:
Go to the swimming pool and walk over the water.
A miracle
That was unexpected
Take the shovel:
Interact with the left grave and take the wallet:
Head back to the bedroom and switch on the computer:
Open: “Files” → “Program Files (x86)” → “Steam” → “steam” → “games” → “HL3”.
That wont happen
And you know it
Open the “Navigator” application and click on “JeMeil”. Logout and login as:
- User: jasonpalmer
- Password: 123456
Read some of the messages and wait for a monologue. Go downstairs, enter the cubby and take the crowbar:
Walk towards the pool and take the green garden hose:
Head back to the car and take the jerry can:
Fill the jerry can with fuel:
Pick up the filled jerry can. Open the car’s trunk and carry the girl:
Go upstairs, enter the bedroom and click on the bed:
Mental problems
Better consult your doctor
Lay her in the empty grave.
Save and/or switch to one of the endings.
Ending: Clumsy
Go to the fireplace and spill some fuel by pressing ‘J’. Die in the flames.

Go to the fireplace and spill some fuel on ground floor. It’s enough to make a trail to the kitchen table:
Head back to the car, open the right door and pick up the house keys:

Ending: Hitman
Take the wallet and fill both tombs with soil:
Go upstairs and interact with the computer. Double-click on “Navigator” and open “MoneyZGone”.
Search for “Fuel”, add “JERRY CAN, 20L BLACK (fuel included)” to your cart and proceed:
Go outside and wait for the delivery drone. Take the jerry can:
Go to the fireplace and spill some fuel (‘J’) on the first AND the second floor. Make sure to stay alive and wait until both floors are full of flames.
Head back to the car, open the right door and pick up the house keys:
Leave.
Hitman
The Safe
The safe in the second bedroom is a dead end. There is just a silly note inside. If you download a previous depot/manifest of the game (before 17th December 2017) you can read it without opening the safe: “Lea el que lo tonto”.
This is the broken Spanish expression for “If you’re reading this you’re an idiot”.
