Notes

Some characters are better suited towards different playstyles, especially considering their abilities:

Byleth

  • High health pool.
  • Decent stamina.
  • Great ability.

Ajiela

  • Decent all rounder.
  • Decent ability with scaling lifesteal and bleed.
  • Most of her upgrades aren’t that good. The status duration reductions are bad as there are a lot of items that cancel out status’ entirely and a relatively easy set to obtain (Panacea) that nullifies everything, meaning her best unlocks are just additional consumables and +60 MP.

Kharoum

  • Heavy hitter.
  • Very reliant on ability to deal with fast mobs and packs.
  • Her perks are just okay. I don’t think extra damage to elite mobs affects bosses.

Ralciel

  • High health pool.
  • Great self healing ability at the cost of huge amounts of MP, only 1 use in a fight, 2 with a mana potion, and 3 with two mana potions and a pouch perk for a potential of up to 450 damage healed without additional MP+ items.

Xilvaron

  • Fast.
  • Huge damage potential.
  • Probably the best perks in the game, gaining 2x damage on stunned or flanked opponents that applies to all weapons (i.e. a sledgehammer to the back of a stunned opponent will ruin their day).
  • Well rounded with additional HP and MP.
  • Great ability.

Japhriel

  • Probably the safest character to play, due to her starting sickle and chain weapon and ability.
  • Great ability that basically stops all enemies in their tracks, affects the entire room, and lasts a long time.
  • Low health pool and stamina.
