  • Go downstairs and receive a quest from your father.

  • Either way, as you head west out of town, shortly to the south is a woman under attack from two monsters. Rescue her, as she will be the fast travel system for the game, and she is required to reach some locations.

  • The Shoal Beast: In the Crabhook Village tavern, speak to the village mayor, on the west side of the room.

Spruce Head

Note: to get the “Spruceless” achievement, you have to skip Spruce Head. If you want that achievement, go to Ballast Harbor and then make your way to Yarrowmouth & Kingdown Isle & just skip this. Devana’s Barrier that you get from Spruce Head Shrine is kinda awesome though, so I personally wouldn’t want to skip this.

  • Head west out of Goatshead Harbor.
  • Zig zag south until you get to a crossroads. Head west to Lotus Shoal.
  • Head west across the shoal until you get to an island with a bridge. Cross the bridge, then climb the stairs north to get to a stone building.

Spruce Head Shrine

  • Complete the dungeon. If there is demand, I will make an actually walkthrough for dungeons. Just let me know if you have any questions in particular.
  • Notes: there is an optional shield item called Devana’s Barrier, you can deflect the boss’s attacks with that or with the sword
  • Read the journal in the shipwreck at the end of the dungeon to complete it.

Health upgrade:

  • Found in dungeon.

Ballast Harbor & Pirate Vault

  • From Goatshead Harbor, go south down a short staircase, then east across a puddle to the Forest of Tides.
  • In the southeast part of the map, there is a tunnel marked by flags. Follow the tunnel, and head to the southeast part of the next area to find the town of Ballast Harbor.
  • In town, past the shop, a pirate with a peg leg and red bandana will stop and talk to you. Go into the store he was in front of, and talk to the man inside.
  • Head down to the docks. There will be pirates unloading treasure from a ship. Interact with the sparkling barrel to get smuggled into the Pirate Vault.
  • If there is demand, I will make an actually walkthrough for the dungeon. Just let me know if you have any questions in particular in the meantime.

If you went to Spruce Head and read the journal in the shipwreck:

  • Go to the tavern in the north end of town. Talk to the bartender.
  • Go east from the tavern and find a gate to unlock in front of some stairs. Go up the stairs, fight the monster, and use the key it drops to unlock the gate with a man behind it.
  • Go back into Yarrowmouth village, and turn south at the signpost.

If you skipped Spruce Head, you don’t have anything to talk to the bartender about, so just go east out of Yarrowmouth then south

  • Follow this trail and stand on the raft to ride it across the channel to Kingsdown Isle.
  • Follow the bridges south through the rainy area, then interact with the leftmost pillar by the wall to unlock the Bear Catacombs.
  • Go through the catacombs. Upon exiting, you can lower the posts to create a shortcut back to the entrance.
  • Go north into the fort. Watch the scene, then head to Oakhaven.
  • Leave Kingsdown Island toward the west. Jump over the water to get back through Tern Marsh, west to Stonefell Crossroads.

If you go north, you can get to the Strait of Thorns. Keep going north until it appears that you can only go east or west. There is a path that continues farther north hidden behind some bushes here.
  • In the northwest part of Stonefell Crossroads, there is a switch you can shoot with the bow to open the trail to Oakhaven.
  • Follow the trail (and the signs) to get to Oakhaven Port. Go north between the pair of giant statues and into Oakhaven City.

  1. Alright, so I’ve given this guide a look over probably over 20 times and my completed side quests align with the ones here, but I still can’t seem to get the all side quests achievement.

  2. At the first part of the list, you list 5 bombs in the tunnels, but it is 10 bombs. 😀

  3. secret cave entrance (there are three trees growing out of rocks here, you’ll interact with the middle one to get into the secret entrance)

I don’t get what it means by this. The middle what? What does it mean by go in a circle and hit it 3 times?

    • Once you find the three trees area you’ll have a short dialogue and then just go to the middle tree and click on the stone and poof the entrance will appear.

  4. For the lighthouse east of Goatshead, neither bow nor bombs are necessary: Next to the switch, is a large hole, which drops you to the lower floor. Hit the switch, go through the hole, climb the stairs again, and you can step on the plate that turns on the lighthouse.

  5. Coral Ore: in Oakhaven City’s lowest left corner, there’s a wishing well. If you put in 200 coins, you get a coral ore at the end!
After that, you can keep putting coins in but you don’t get anything else (at least under my experiment, where I dumped over 1200 coins in)

  6. can you make walkthrough for Klepton’s chart quest ? i got confused inside dungeon.
    thanks
