A Space for the Unbound – Math Formula Puzzle

I wanted to share a solution for math formula puzzle based on my experience.

The Formulas

All credit goes to Puruperu !

Formula – 1 > 11 = 2e + i

Inside trashcan. Near 2 punks & classroom’s door.

Formula – 2 > 2k = 3n

On a whiteboard. Inside classroom.

Formula – 3 > 3 – 3n = i

On a table. Use the Magic Wand to reveal the rift inside classroom.

Formula – 4 > n = 4

Inside Raya’s bag. School’s Backyard (behind canteen).

  1. So, you already collected all the formulas. After that, you go to the library & find the safebox.
  2. You got another clue if you look it carefully. NIKEN.
  3. And you need to insert 5 digits.
  4. And here how to solve (I guess).
  5. Addition, you either just go with the answer or you can see the explanation by me that looks dumb but it works. I’m dumb at math.

3 – 3n = 1

  1. Change n to 4 (because the formula says, n=4) then multiply 3 by 4.
    3 – 3 x 4 = i -> 3 – 12 = i
  2. Move i to the left and vice versa. (Note: so -12 move to the right becomes 12. And 3 becomes -3).
    i = 12 – 3
  3. Subtract 12 by 3.
    i = 9
  4. Voila, i = 9
  1. Ubah n menjadi 4. (karena ada di formula) lalu 3 dikali 4.
    3 – 3 x 4 = i -> 3 – 12 = i
  2. Pindahkan i ke kiri dan sebaliknya. (Jadi, -12 pindah ke kanan jadi 12. Dan 3 menjadi -3).
    i = 12 – 3
  3. 12 dikurang 3
    i = 9
  4. Voila, i = 9

2k = 3n

  1. Move 2 to the right then it becomes divided by 3. (Note: from what i learnt, if ‘multiply’ moved to the left/right, it becomes ‘divided’. IDK, that’s what I remember).
    k = 3n / 2
  2. Change n to 4 (just like the 1st formula) then multiply by 3.
    k = 3 x 4 / 2 -> k = 12 / 2
  3. Divide 12 by 2.
    k = 6
  4. Voila, k = 6
  1. Pindah 2 ke kanan lalu diubah menjadi pembagian. (Dari yang kupelajari, jika perkalian dipindahkan, maka menjadi pembagian. Entahlah, itulah yang kuingat).
    k = 3n / 2
  2. Ubah n menjadi 4. (seperi formula pertama) lalu dikali 3.
    k = 3 x 4 / 2 -> k = 12 / 2
  3. 12 dibagi 2.
    k = 6
  4. Voila, k = 6

11 = 2e + i

  1. Change i to 9 (it’s from ‘3 – 3n = i’ formula).
    11 = 2e + 9
  2. Move 2e to the right and vice versa (you already know it right?). Then, subtract 11 by 9.
    11 – 9 = 2e -> 2 = 2e
  3. And this one. You need to divide 2 and 2e by 2.
    2 / 2 = 2e / 2
  4. Now divide each number. But 2e divide by 2 equals e.
    1 = e
  5. Voila, e = 1
  1. Ubah i = 9 (diambil dari formula ‘3 – 3n = i’).
    11 = 2e + 9
  2. Pindah 2e ke kanan dan sebaliknya (kamu sudah tahu kan?). lalu, 11 dikurang 9.
    11 – 9 = 2e -> 2 = 2e
  3. Untuk yang ini, aku bertanya untuk solusinya. Kau harus membagi 2 dan 2e dengan 2.
    2 / 2 = 2e / 2
  4. Lakukan pembagian 2 angka tersebut. Untuk 2e, 2e dibagi 2 menjadi e.
    1 = e
  5. Voila, e = 1

The Digits

  • n = 4
  • i = 9
  • k = 6
  • e = 1

Now you have collected the numbers. Remember “NIKEN”. Now change every letters with those numbers. For example, N = 4.

Then you’ll get “49614”.
