Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition – How to Obtain Any 1v1 AI Achievement (Quick & Easy)

I haven’t seen an achievement guide using the game mode I am about to mention, so here it is.

1v1 AI Achievements Guide

To unlock any of the 1v1 AI achievements:

Set up a Single Player Skirmish lobby with with 1 AI.
Change the game mode to “Capture the Relic”.

Set the following:

Bot’s difficulty to any of your choice.
Resources: High
Starting Age: Feudal Age
Location: Coastal
Choose the rest of the settings to any of your choice. (Civs, etc.)
Start game.

As soon as your game starts, get your starting 3 villagers to construct a Blacksmith and a Market and simultaneously queue up a Villager from your Town Center to help you finish the construction of your buildings at the earliest. Building these will allow you to advance to the next age ie Castle Age, which you must do quickly.

While it takes its own course to level up to the next age, set your pre built Temple’s Gather point to the relic.

As soon as you hit Castle Age, queue up a Priest and research Frevor tech (for the movement speed of the Priest).

Shift queue the Priest to drop the Relic back to the Temple.

Voila! You now have one of the rarest achievements in AoE II: DE.
