Tips to Beat Bosses on Hard Mode

Сrеdit gоеs to !

Sweeper

When he is about to shoot the missiles, run to the other side of the screen where he is not, then wait for the missiles to start falling into your position. Slowly move towards sweeper while the missiles start falling behind you, that way you will have a safe zone to move and attack him at the same time, rinse and repeat if you dont kill it after he tried it first.

Tree of Origin

Having 3 jumps helps alot and skills that help you maintain air. You can also use the ability of the other characters you took in midair since those gives you some air time. You can also see when he is about to slam the ground. So if you have the 3 dash you can easily evade it.

Arakune

When he is about to shoot the red projectiles, move below him. After he finished shooting the last projectile, quickly dash to the middle platform since he will slam the ground if you stay there, he will do that to the other platform, then repeat. He usually starts to do it on the right platform, then goes to the left one.

Serpent of Destruction

When he starts summoning the clones and tornadoes, try moving towards where the storm is moving, since that will increase your movement speed and will help you evade some of his clone attacks. After evading all the clones, quickly move to the center of the screen since he will start to summon spikes after finishing using the clones, 3 dashes helps a tons with this one.

Oread

Usually there is a breach in which you can deal damage, its when she finish spawning the laser. She will move to the center and stop for a brief moment. Be advise that she is not that constant on her attacks, meaning that she will sometimes change how she circles her attacks. But you can always attack her when she finish summoning the butterflies that appear on one side of the screen. She will stop for a brief moment before levitating and start to summon some homing butterflies following the lasers. You can evade then by looking how Oread starts dance in circles. The first lasers fall after she “flips” 1 time, then the next is when she does 2 flips, and the last lasting long before landing them, 3 flips.

For a flying boss like her (and Floating Mind), Lambda and Hakumen’s Legacy skills are really good. Lambda’s just does constant damage, and Hakumen’s lets you stand beneath the boss and take a hit to summon lightning. That helps chip away at the boss when they’re usually not open to attack. I don’t bother attacking Oread at all during the butterfly clouds for instance: the timing is really tight, and there are also solo butterflies you have to worry about.

It also helps to remember that Oread’s webs can’t hurt you until they actually turn into lasers. It was a bit of an unconscious block I had to get over to realize only the butterflies could hurt me during that attack, meaning I could freely run back and forth to dodge the butterflies and arrange the web threads in a position where there was still a safe spot.

Remember you can also crouch to find safe spots in the web; in fact, most of the web attacks you can just run back and forth to bait the threads once you learn the pattern for it, especially for her ultimate web attack.
