Heraldry Tips and What to Choose
By OsoBrand.
This is an attempt to explain the big picture of heraldry. It’s difficult to be too detailed about certain things, because in-game translations are inconsistent.
Terms:
- Sigil – sigils are the main categories of heraldry (Mysterious, Courtyard, Stars, etc).
- Seal – within a sigil, there are 4 seals. Each seal within a sigil has a name. For example, the first seal in the mystery sigil is the “spirit seal”
- Bonus Power – within a sigil, if you click on the center, you will see the sigil’s bonus power. Bonus powers sometimes vary depending on which dragon you are using. You can scroll through the dragons to see how the bonus power for that sigil varies.
You increase a sigil level using the basic stones (the ones from the “heraldry upgrade chest”). Things get complicated once you reach level 10 on a sigil. Once you reach level 10, you will have a chance to “activate” the first seal. This requires 50 appropriate ” primal” stones.
For example, the first seal of the Mystery sigil is spirit. You will need 50 Primal spirit stones to activate this seal
Seals:
Once you manage to activate a seal, you can roll to try for a high level on the seal. This is where the stones with numbers beside them come in. We will continue using the Spirit seal of the Mystery sigil as our example. Ideally, you want to roll at least a level 5 on the spirit seal. (more on this later).
Since we want at least a 5, the “Spirit stone (1-4)” that is sold at market isn’t good enough. The numbers represent the possible levels you can get using that stone. Luckily, we can buy a bunch of the “mystique Spirit stones (1-4) and improve them at our craftsman bench! First, use the (1-4)s to make ” spirit stone (1-6)”. Then use these (1-6) stones to create (3-8) stones.
Now it’s time to use the stones to roll for your seal level. Go to mystery sigil, and click on the spirit seal (which you have activated by now).
At the bottom of the screen, you need to select the type of numbered stones you want to use. Select the “Spirit stone(3-8)” and click the red button to roll. Hopefully, you will get at least a level 5 within a couple rolls.
Bonus Power:
The reason you want at least a level 5 seal is it activates the bonus power for that sigil. You can click on the center circle to see what bonus you now have.
Mystery sigil has some cool bonuses based on what dragon you are using. Fire dragon will allow your character to burn enemies, ice lets your character freeze them, dark allows your character to do an aoe attack, etc
I realize this may all still be very confusing. Try to approach it slowly at first. Just focus on leveling up one sigil to level 10. Then use primal stones to activate the first seal. Once you get to that point, you can really focus on understanding how the numbered stones work.
Good luck!
