If your house is supported by wooden posts, usually the beach houses have them. They’re the the supports arounf the outer perimeter of your house with an upright post and two smaller pieces jutting out at 45 degrees. Go around your house and pull them out, just use your hands, don’t try to sell them. After you’ve removed them all and don’t forget the angled pieces on every corner.
Obviously your can’t leave your house suspended by nothing but fresh air, so lay 3 levels of bricks. the first layer is laid under the surface. Go around the entire house, it doesn’t take long to do. Once you’ve got your breathing a sigh of relief, gather all that timber and place them along your boundary line. The front of your house is the best place. On the corners you can use those supports which were under each corner of the house (Logical).
You’ll find each piece will easily attach to the next. So not only did you make a new footing for your place, you got an unusual front fence as well. Unfortunately you can’t paint them, but you can cheat a little using tiles. Personally I preferred just the old timber look so I haven’t tried to pretty them up.
You can leave the bricks bare but you could paint them of course, just be careful if painting free hand, it’s easy to slip and paint something you shouldn’t. I learned from experience after building a castle as an extension to my house. The house had a color I couldn’t duplicate and had to repaint most of the house. Good luck and have fun.
