Guide to Enemies and Weapons Attributes

All credit goes to chicken!

Intro

Attributes are special elements that will affected your game play directly. If your weapon’s attribute is weak to an enemy’s attribute, your damage output will be decreased (game UI will tell you that your attacks was Resisted) on the opposite if your weapon’s attribute is strong to enemy’s attribute, your damage output will be slightly increased (game UI will tell you that your enemy is weak to your attacks.

So purpose of this guide is to guide you on how efficiently to evolve your weapon to make your game play slightly easier (harder if you prefer hardcore way) since your weapon attribute can be inherited from your materials.

There are 2 types on major attributes in Lost Epic which are:

Elemental Attributes

A type of attribute that give you more/less damage output according to your weapon and enemy’s attribute and this guide dedicated to this type of Attribute. There are 4 types of Elemental Attributes which are:

  • Fire – if materials have this attribute, there will be Scorching before its name such as Scorching Tamahagane and if weapons have this attribute, there will be Fire before its name such as Fire Falchion except for Touch.
  • Ice – if materials have this attribute, there will be Chilling before its name such as Chilling Tamahagane and if weapons have this attribute, there will be Ice before its name such as Ice Falchion.
  • Lightning – if materials have this attribute, there will be Electric before its name such as Electric Tamahagane and if weapons have this attribute, there will be Lightning before its name such as Lightning Falchion.
  • Dark – if materials have this attribute, there will be Noxious before its name such as Noxious Tamahagane and if weapons have this attribute, there will be Dark before its name such as Dark Falchion.

You can distinguish this type of attribute on your materials and weapons easily because this type of attribute will be displayed in white circle with a symbol represented its elemental within.

Status Aliment Attributes

A type of attribute that give your opponent a status aliment for short amount of time. This guide won’t dig deep into this type of attribute since all enemies can be inflicted a status aliment. there are 12 types of status aliments which are:

  • Burn – Deal damage overtime to your enemies that were inflicted by this status aliment. this status aliment if inflicted to Wriggling Creatures, it can kill them without using special weapon that will be obtained from quest later on. There will be a text Smoldering before material’s name and Crimson before weapon’s name.
  • Freeze – Freeze your enemies for a short amount of time. There will be a text Frosted before material’s name and Freezing before weapon’s name.
  • Paralyze – Paralyze your enemies for a short amount of time (think of it as slow , it makes your element act slower), most of Lake Pelgrand’s enemies have this status aliment.
  • Poison – Deal damage overtime to your enemies that were inflicted by this status aliment (same as burn). There will be a text Toxic before material’s name and Poisonous before weapon’s name.
  • Lull – Make your enemies sleep for a short amount of time but can wake up if you attack them. There will be a text Drowsy before material’s name and Hypnotic before weapon’s name.
  • Blind – Make your enemies blind for a short amount of time (your enemies won’t attack you). There will be a text Smoking before material’s name and Blinding before weapon’s name.
  • Confuse – Make your enemies confused for a short amount of time (attack and walk to opposite direction). There will be a text Crazed before material’s name and Wild before weapon’s name.
  • Drain Life – Restore your HP based on your damage output (like 5-10% of damage output), God tier attribute with bows cause of rapid fire = fast heal.
  • Instant Death – Kill your enemies that inflicted by this status aliment, but it doesn’t instant kill right away when it inflicted in fact you have to wait for 12 seconds for inflicted enemies to die if you don’t kill it yourselves. and this status aliment can’t be inflicted to Boss monster/GOD (wasted status aliment in my opinion). There will be a text Hateful before material’s name and Undertaker before weapon’s name.
  • Reduce ATK – Reduce your enemies ATK for a short amount of time. There will be a text Intimidating before material’s name and Fangbreaker before weapon’s name.
  • Reduce DEF – Reduce your enemies DEF for a short amount of time. There will be a text Acidic before material’s name and Shieldbreaker before weapon’s name.
  • Reduce DEX – Reduce your enemies DEX for a short amount of time. There will be a text Sticky before material’s name and Cursed before weapon’s name.

When you craft/evolve your weapons, you can get this 2 types of attributes together and can’t be 2 same types of attributes so make sure not use same type of attributed materials. if you use more than 1 materials for same type of attribute, it will randomly select one of them as your main attribute. i would recommend to use 2 attributed materials from 2 type attributes for 1 weapon and then the rest use non attributed material since it will be guaranteed your weapon’s attribute.

How to Get Attributed Materials?

Attributed Materials will be dropped from enemies randomly but we can increase Game Difficulty for more % drop using Anima. How? there are altars that you can adjust Area Difficulty. (you can adjust difficulty for each main area separately) you can found these altars in the an area gap before changing to new main area.

At first you can adjust only 3 difficulty which are -1,Normal and +1 after that you can unlock by using anima from +2 to +10 each difficulty increased that mean your enemies also have more parameters(ATK/DEF/DEX but i’m not sure about status aliment) and also increase rate of attributed materials by 5% for each + so the highest increased rate is 50% (but more anima drain too).

For player who already finished a game with 100% and looking forward to try new game+, after i finished new game+ i also noticed that i got many attributed materials even if i played on normal difficulty so if you still need a perfect weapon, i would recommend to start new game+ right away.

  1. Just FYI, you don’t need to complete NPC quests for Alta’s 100% Quest and Kill List completion quest. That only applies to the ones the sisters give. I avoided doing them on purpose on one playthrough and still fulfilled the quest condition.

  2. some corrections on weapon attributes:
    -Burn:
You can only kill wriggling creatures in this way. You HAVE to use Eques to kill vase demon (I don’t remember if it works on violet)

    -Paralyze:
It doesn’t slow them so much as every second or so, enemies will get “stunned” for a split second. Outside of that stun period, they move and attack at a normal rate.

    – Blind:
It’s not just lowered, they will not attack you at all while blind is inflicted. You can walk up to their face and they will do nothing.

    -Confuse:
Incorrect. This is what happens to YOU if you get inflicted by it. On enemies, it just gives them a chance to attack other enemies, and even then they will not always do this.
