Mecha BREAK – Welkin’ Game Plan and Tips

Tips to Play Welkin

  • Abilities: Stasis Shield, Jamming Generator and Emitter.
  • Weapon: Assault Howitzer and Heavy BattleAxe.

Game Plan

  • As more of a melee/close based striker, it’s best to utilize your Jamming Generator to close gaps of unexpected foes to fully maximize the ability of stasis shield.
  • Once you trapped your enemy in the stasis shield, you can either mow them down with your Howitzer and Emitter.
  • However, it’s best to use your heavy battle-axe to get the job done as you are now in close combat with them unable to leave your stasis shield (BOX).

Note

  • It’s best to fully utilize your terrain towards your advantage as most maps are fully open for aerial mech such as Falcon and Sky Raider to abuse range combat!

Tips

Try to get your enemies to shift their focus on other enemies while trying your best to close the distance!

Don’t be afraid to utilize your stasis shield to fully recover or take cover when in danger of death!

Try to minimize dragging your teammates into your Stasis Shield (BOX).

You can communicate with your fellow melee strikers such as Panther to fully maximize melee combat inside the BOX with you!

Note: Allies do get locked in the box with you, but can also get locked out. Overall in tight spaces you should be careful about obstructing your teammates’ movement.

If an enemy is using a complex shield, you should also make sure to go for the charged spin attack, as this cannot be parried or blocked. However, this is generally lower DPS than going for the standard combo.

Regarding the standard combo, there is a generous escape window after hit 2, so it’s better to boost back to watch what they do before re-engaging rather than. Trying to spam the melee.

  1. Fellas, don’t forget: If you want to rotate to another point on the map, your melee long dash attack is the fastest way to do so.
