Alright, so you’ve finally begun your journey through the masterpiece of game design and story telling that is Metal Gear Solid 2 and you’ve worked out all the mechanics but now you’re wondering: “how do I get my rations covered in sea lice?”. This guide is meant to be an in-depth guide to educate new players on how to come to grips with this unique mechanic.
First thing you’re going to want to do is make it to the Big Shell section. This is after the boat section. If you’re still on the boat section, this guide is not for you.
Once your Raiden swims up to the first area of Big Shell, you’ll see a lot of dirty bugs crawling around. These are the Sea Lice. Press the crawl button and crawl around the bugs. This may take a second or two. Check your inventory and you should see a red bug icon on your rations. Congratulations! You have earned the bug achievement!
How do I get the sea lice off my rations?
Open your inventory with L2/LT and move through your items until the bugs come off.
