The Beginning
This game has, as semi expected, next to no tutorial. So while I can in no way tell you how to successfully play this game or even what the end goal is, here is what I’ve compiled:
Pick berries off the ground (f key) as the only source of food you will need.
Loot Boxes will respawn loot and despawn anything you store in them. Crafting machines won’t. Use that knowledge to not hate your life.
After spawning, if you leave and go right you will come to the ruined buildings on the hill. That’s your base of operation. If you stay left you’ll eventually run into a plane crash. Ignore it and go up the hill, take a left and loot the military base for tons of ammo and eventually the weapons for it. It will also usually have an axe to use as a weapon. They also have a military backpack there which I would argue is almost mandatory to get.
Speaking of weapons, if you want one earlier just look for dead wood sticking up from the ground and craft it into a pickaxe from your inventory. It has unlimited durability as of writing this, which makes it superior till you get the fireaxe.
And that’s it. There’s some story speckled around and I guess things to look at. Little bit of building and partial crafting options, but that’s the easy stuff that makes no sense.
