Path of Exile 2 – Ultimate Guide to Lightning Deadeye Ranger Build

Finalized Lightning Deadeye Ranger Build

By Moxsy.

Start

Go for lightning bow skills first (Lightning Arrow, Lightning Rod). Use Lightning arrow as a way to proc TONS of hits from Lightning Rod. Go Multiple Projectile/Scatter Shot on Lighting Rod and stack it on bosses for big damage!

Path Towards Projectile Damage Nodes & Lightning/Shock:

Act 6 Gem Setup small mistake I was missing faster projectiles on Rain of Arrows. Swapped for pin. Note I started using Magnetic salvo for bossing and prioritizing that over rain of arrows. I’ve got salvo hitting for 100K damage on bosses. We need less frenzy/if any because of this.

About FRENZY generation. Frenzy is something that inherently gives no bonus, but does empower our abilities. In order to generate a frenzy charge we need to use combat frenzy and electrocution. Shock is different than electrocution and we need to spec into electrocute to generate frenzy charges. Node #14 will definitely help with this but it isn’t the most consistent. I wouldn’t worry about it too much since after we hit 52 we remove combat frenzy and stop caring about frenzy charges since magnetic salvo is so so strong.

Deadeye Early Ascension Pick (Go tailwind first. Then Windward imo but can go point blank if you want more damage).

Gear

Look for Evasion, Health & Resistances on Armor. Look For Added Elemental or Phy damage on Bows & Quivers. Bow: Look for flat elemental damage.

Act 2 Bow:

Act 4 Bow:

Endgame

Skill Tree Changes & Explanation:

So we were originally going to go for some frenzy charges for Rain of Arrows but needed combat frenzy and electrocution to do that. That pathway is still Awesome, but magnetic salvo (unlocked at level 52) is stronger and doesn’t require electrocution or frenzy charge and it scales with lightning which we are already scaling. Because of this we can respec the tree to get away from electrocution and pick up more damage and survivability.

Here is the current tree I am using in Maps:

Updated Endgame Gear

Bow:

Flat Elements were good for early added damage. For endgame upgrades for magnetic we will start looking for big physical damage. Look for %Phys and #added physical. This bow brought my Salvo explosion dps from 2230 to 3240 (couldn’t afford a dualstring).

Armour:

Look for big health, evasion and resistances.

Updated Post Nerf

Post Buff Cast on Crit Ice Shot Deadeye

Bonus: Poison Rain of Arrows Pathfinder

Start:

Go poison burst arrow and vine arrow to start. Prioritize projectile damage, poison effect, and additional poisons in the skill tree.

Early Skill Tree:

Starting Ascendancy Nodes:

Note: If flask sustain feels good, go for contagious contamination and not enduring elixirs.

Endgame:

So for endgame we need to swap off of Poisonous Concoction unless it is incredibly strong. We will do this to pickup the 4 and 2 nodes in pathfinder and swap to rain of arrows for instant 12 stacks of poison on enemies.

In the Skill tree grab everything that is +1 to poison stacks, get leeching poisons, poison effect, poison duration and grab evasion and flask nodes. Freeze buildup increases will also help a lot.
