Tips to End Game

- Try a few easy characters to start out. things like troll barbarian, fairy archer, gargoyle warrior or gnome fire mage.
- Clear the main dungeon before any side dungeons. the way I usually tackle the dungeon is by going to the end of the orc fortress/dark temple, then back to floor two of that area to do side dungeon 1, clearing that, and if I need the xp or money, I head to floor 4 and tackle the second side dungeon.
- The vault can be pretty difficult. in particular are the rooms with liches. scrolls/wand of blink and speed points are pretty helpful, as are AOE spells or weapons like axes, shock, poison cloud, etc.
- Talents that are outside your class can be helpful. confusion is usually pretty good, even on warrior or barbarian. confused enemies aren’t targeted by normal enemies so if you confuse an enemy near a statue the statue won’t attack it, but the confused enemy will attack it.
Boss Tips
A good boss fight tip is to use a blink item on the final phase to get right to the goblet and try to take it then.
Also, shift-click your character in between phases of the boss to reset talents and mp.
In the vault levitation can come in very handy, so if you can try to grab shroud of wind and get it to level 2.
Range is good against vortexes because the damage shield won’t activate.
There isn’t a penalty for using range attacks close up, so consider using a bow against them, even if your melee is stronger.
Against elementals I usually try to stay away and hit them with ranged spells like burst of flame, but with melee builds I get close and use talents like charge or cyclone strike.
The elementals don’t always attack every turn, so wait for them to use a spell like ice bomb or fire orb, then have them hit you with range.
They won’t attack for about two turns after that so you can use that to your advantage.
