The Basics
Final DP is not affected by DF effect. So the strategy is Final DP per player level on a piece of equipment. It can be crafted/found on Rings and Gloves. Cool Steel Diamond Knuckles have a guaranteed chance to have it. Snuffhead’s Favorite and the hard version of it have a chance to have it on the unique equipment from the Challenge, and it is easily grindable because it is an F-ranked Challenge.
Final DP is for the start. After that, you get Silk Edge. It converts Power into Final Defense Piercing. It doesn’t work with Final Power. You will need to invest in Power Multi and Base Power because it is final. All stuff that we are using, you can use it on any level of DF. I am at 160 DF.
I recommend getting 1 or 2 Storm Stones since most of the cards you want are Fire or Wind: Lunatic, Weapon Aura, Mind Corruption, Acid Coating, Area Aura Conversion, and Base Power and Power Multi are all Fire. Cardio Clarity, Trade Off, Light Weight, Dash, Spiked Boots, Dash Cool Down, Oil Evasion is important to not die in one hit, all Wind.
Attack Speed is uncapped. You can turn down video settings like resolution and effects if your PC starts becoming laggy.
Advanced Strategy
Alright, that’s the basic strategy. Let’s go over some more stuff that will help speed up runs. They are not necessary but will help:
- HP per level so you don’t need to get Evasion and Dash. You can put this on almost everything.
- Attack Speed per player level: Get Light Armor, put Attack Speed on it, and put it on a Ring and Gloves and Light Armor. This will make it much easier. You can even skip Silk Edge if you get a lot of Attack Speed, and that is a big time save not having to select those cards.
- EXP Multi per Player Level: Main and/or secondary modifier. More levels is good. You can find it on helmets.
- Final Defenses Shredding per player level will increase your damage by a lot.
- Area Modifier: Mythic or Legendary. You can find it on helmets and leggings. Bigger area hits more enemies, faster completion.
- Enemy Count on Rings: More enemies, faster completion.
Advanced Setup
If you have most or all of these modifiers, the strategy becomes a bit different:
- You want to get two Fire Stones and Horizon Void B Boots. When you accumulate a lot of levels, you equip these and get Area Aura Conversion, Weapon Aura, Lunatic.
- You also want to get Blood Candle for more enemies, and you want to get Zealot to unlock Faith card. Corrupted Avatar has a lot of Dark card drop chance, so you will see a lot of it, so you can increase your card level fast. Void Spirit and Light Spirit are also useful. Gilgamesh’s Legacy will help with these.
- Depending on how many of these modifiers you have, you can remove some of these cards like Light Spirit and Weapon Aura. If you are strong enough, you don’t need it. Also, removing final DP from Diamond Knuckles will make it available instantly. Use it for the first kill because of DP scaling. It is not necessary but it will save several seconds. Additional Notes
Most of the modifiers that help will make it so you don’t need to get other cards. That is because most of the run time is real time, so skipping as much as possible, clicking on stuff as fast as possible, avoiding time stages, quickly planning out your route to the boss – if you don’t need something, skip it.
Enemy Count on Rings goes up to Legendary. If you don’t need gold and card selections at the end of the stage, just continue to the next stage. 2/3 of run time is real time, so lowering that as much as possible is important.
I have thought of even more tips: Swap out your helmet for Monocle after you have killed a boss. You can equip it after the stage ends and the 4-second timer begins. After you’ve collected the gear, go back to the EXP helmet.
Also, if you have gotten to a point that you cannot use Silk Edge, put -0.99x Power per player level (negative modifier) on everything that you can, since you won’t need it, and it is very efficient at reducing card level requirement.
Also, before you meet the requirement of your EXP per level helmet, you can use a flat EXP helmet.
