Settlemoon – Starting Guide

The world of Settlemoon can be confusing and a bit overwhelming when you first start playing. This guide should get you on your way.

Starting Out

After going through the intro sequence with the login screen…

This is you! If you don’t like the way you look, you can change it once we get some folks in your town, so let’s get you going.

You’ve probably noticed the little moth flitting around by now; they’re a guide of sorts for the time being. The only other thing in the world right now is this big-ass Luna moth; go ahead and click on ’em to get yourself your first Moon. Go ahead and use it from the Moon menu at the bottom left.

Once you’ve done that, Rose will show up! They’re more familiar with this world than you are; heed their advice!

They have a letter for you. View it in the Friends menu:

Moons are essentially the timer for your town! As long as the skies are lit, adventurers will show up and visit your buildings. But we need to have buildings first, don’t we?

Rose and your moth will direct you to the build menu.

Right now, there’s only one building available: the humble Inn! go ahead and place it! But wait, that’s only a blueprint. We need materials to build it! Rose and your moth are pointing you to the Quest menu.

There’s only a single quest available currently. Click on it and bring it to the big quest slot in the center of your screen. Once that’s done, Rose will embark and get you that treasure chest! Wait a minute or two for the quest to complete, then we’ll use the materials to build the Inn!

Once you have the materials, drag the quest downward to remove it from the slot. Go back into the build menu and place the Inn! But adventurers need supplies, right? So now go into the Inventory menu, as shown by your moth.

Click on the slime to gather it and then deposit it in the Inn for some delicious Slime Drink! Adventurers love that stuff. They’ll start coming to your town to buy it, providing you with income.

Now there’s just one thing left to do: quests! Go back to the Quest Menu.

Notice that building the Inn got you another quest slot! Go ahead and drag quests to those. Adventurers that visit your town will automatically take quests and embark. Once they’re done, they’ll bring back materials that you can buy to turn into sellable items for your buildings.

You should have a few materials left over; Make sure to decorate your town! Decor gives powerful bonuses to nearby buildings. You can always tell if a piece of decor is affecting a building if placing it causes a popup to appear!

Providing adventurers with quests for materials to sell back to them is the basic gameplay loop! Keep your town stocked up and the cash flowing and you’ll start to uncover the secrets of Settlemoon!

Other Tips

If an adventurer is added as a friend, they’ll show up in town a lot more often! You can also keep track of their progress easier.

To use one of the secret Cameo Friend Codes, copy the code and paste it into the game while you have the Add Friend button open.

Floors and Paints

  1. I’m pretty new myself so I’m not 100% certain, but I believe that sets the quest to continue being completed. If you have that on, adventurers will scout out more targets like it after the quest is done and can complete the quest multiple times, letting you cash out the materials multiple times in a row. I think thats what it does, anyways!
