STAR WARS: The Old Republic – Upgrading Armor Tips

Armor Tips And Upgrades Explained

Stats more or less come down to the spec/role you’re playing.

Tanks are in a weird spot where it’s actually better for you to equip DPS equipment instead of tank stuff – they can skip accuracy since they get it baseline, but other than that try to atleast get your alacrity to 7.14% and the rest into crit. Still use a shield, tho

A full tank with tank stats can somewhat work in warzones, but not too well in arenas.

For DDs, depends entirely on the spec, if your spec is mostly doing white (direct) damage you should get your accuracy to atleast 5%, alacrity to atleast 7.14% and the rest into crit

Similiar with healers, but you can skip accuracy entirely unless you plan on dealing damage a lot.

For telekinetics sage/lightning sorcerer it might be worth pushing to the second alacrity treshhold (i believe it was above 15%).

TLDR hit your accuracy (5%)/alacrity (7.14% or 15%) tresholds and use crit as a dump stat.

Bonus Tips for Noobs

Learn to keybind your skills if you don’t already, Clicking is going to get you annihilated. After that, read the tool tips and learn what skills do what and learn when to not waste skills on an enemy who popped a defensive cool down.

It really just comes down to keep playing and slowly learning what everything does. Eventually knowing what to do and when becomes natural.
