How to Obtain Veteran Achievement

Introduction

The first section displays my workshop talent tree, the second section shows exactly which weapons and upgrades I used when unlocking the achievement. The last section gives you a more detailed and step-by-step guide on how to achieve this.

It should be noted, that it is of course possible with way less talent points in the workshop and other talents, but this is just what worked for me and I wanted to share it.

Workshop (Talents)

Here are my allocated workshop talents:

Please note that Project Scythe and Project Meteor do not matter for my setup.

Weapons and Upgrades

• Character: Bulletstorm
• Map: Plateau
• Difficulty: Evolution 0

Please note that I included additional recommended upgrades (level at 0) which I did not get in my actual run.

Weapons

• Gatling Gun (Starter)
  • Rapid Fire Damage: 1 (ideally 3)
  • Ricochet: 1 (optional)
  • Burst Gun: 0 (optional)
• Scatter Shot
  • Spam: 3
  • Shotgun: 3
  • (Double/Triple/Quadriple) Burst: 3
  • Mirror Shots
• Railgun
  • Rapid Fire Cooldown: 3
  • Sniper Rifle: 2 (not needed)

Passives

• Peacemaker
  • Efficient Engines: 1 (not needed)
  • Heal on Kill: 0 (optional)
  • Max Health: 0 (optional)
• Arsenal
  • Rapid Fire Explosion: 2 (optional)
  • Global Knockback: 0 (optional)

What to Do?

• Step 1: Starting Setup
  • Try to get all needed weapons and passives
• Step 2: Prioritize the following upgrades:
  • “Spam”, “Shotgun”, “(Double/Triple/Quadriple) Burst” and “Mirror Shots” for Scatter Shot
  • “Rapid Fire Cooldown” (Railgun)
  • “Rapid Fire Damage” (Gatling Gun)
• Step 3: Optional upgrades:
  • “Ricochet”, “Burst Gun” and “Overheat” for Gatling Gun
  • “Rapid Fire Explosion” and “Global Knockback” for Arsenal
  • “Heal on Kill” and “Max Health” for Peacemaker
• Step 4: Find a Fuel Station
  • Ideally at least one side of the station is blocked the end of the map!
• Step 5: Wait
  • You have to keep the game open for it to continue, I watched YouTube on my second monitor and every 5 minutes (Swarm) I paid attention as not to get overwhelmed by the enemies.
