Teeny Tiny Town – Beginners Guide with Tips

Since there are new players unfamiliar with the genre and the game, we thought it would be helpful to write up a few tips and tricks as a guide.

Guide to Basics

Merging rules

When 3 or more items of the same kind are adjacent and “touching” each other, they will merge into a new, greater item/structure.

  • 3x deciduous tree = evergreen tree
  • 3x evergreen tree = wood + axe
  • 3x (wood + axe) = woodpile wood
  • 3x woodpile wood = house

…and so on…

Swaps

You can use the swap power-up to move an object to an empty tile or swap positions with another item on the board.

Click on the swap power-up -> then on the item you want to move -> and finally, click on an empty tile or another item on the board.

Bulldozers

Bulldozers remove unwanted items from the board OR can lower elevated terrain (if there’s an item on the elevated tile, you’ll first have to remove the item before you can lower the tile).

Gold

Gold is generated every fifth placement from your houses. The larger the house, the greater the amount of gold! Everybody loves low taxes, hehe! Gold can be spent in the store (Hammer icon). Buy items or power-up to give yourself an edge, but be careful the prices of the items you buy will increase for each time you buy them.

Stones

Stones can be annoying, but they fill a purpose! Stones follow the same merging rules as other items. See what happens if you merge them enough times! Using the bulldozer on larger stones and gold stones will yield some gold for some quick gold.

Useful Tips

How to get better results and avoid losing because of wrong space management

Considering choosing gold as the reward early on if your only option is a dozer. 300 coins is really helpful in the beginning, buy items you need to get the first couple of houses going so you level up your town and start spawning “bigger” items asap rather than bushes all the time.

I save swaps for when I want to go for a big upgrade since they are almost mandatory to get the biggest buildings and end up costing a fortune. Big houses early means big gold. And then you can get that item your really need to clear the board and not end up placing stuff where it’s causing the board to get smaller.

Also choose a strategy for dealing with stones. I ended up buying stones to combine them and have a minimum of spaces occupied by stones.

I also always select swap power up when I can, they are just so awesome.

How to replenish turns

The game offer you 3 ways of replenish turns and 2 different price points.

  1. You can wait the time, similar to other free to play titles.
  2. You can watch 1 ad to instantly replenish the turns
  3. You can either buy the pack or just unlimited turns at a pretty fair price point we would say.

How to collect the treasure chests?

You can just tap them, but you can try combining them to see what happens.
