Palworld – Fix PC Game Pass Error when Launching Game

Fix PC Game Pass Error

There is a command you can run via command prompt that should fix most of peoples’ errors when launching the PC Game Pass version.

For me, it happens every single time I launch the game. Here is an easy “shortcut” you can create that runs the command for you. All you need to do is click the shortcut. FYI This command is from Microsoft – not me.

The command is “sc.exe stop licensemanager” and below is an easy way to create a shortcut that runs the command in Command Prompt:

  1. Right click on Desktop. For Win11 Shift + Right Click.
  2. Select New.
  3. Select Shortcut. This brings up a wizard to select a destination. Do NOT click browse.
  4. In the box under “Type the location of the item:” type the following: C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe sc.exe stop licensemanager
  5. Now you have create a shortcut on your desktop that you can double click to run this fix. Let’s make it even easier.
  6. Right click the shortcut (Win11 Shift+Right Click) and pin it to taskbar or start menu. You can also move this shortcut to any location you would prefer if you dont want the icon on your desktop (e.g. Documents)

There are more methods to utilize this script to make it even less laborious. For example, you can run this command on PC startup or when the game starts.

I recommend googling that to learn more about how to do that. For now, use this simple(ish) method.
