How-To (Step-by-Step)
- Download Lossless Scaling from the Steam Store.
- Start the game and set the resolution to 1920×1080. [16:9] [Window]
- Save & Exit the game.
- Start Lossless Scaling.
- Once the Lossless Scaling window has opened click on “Settings”.
- Activate “Start as administrator”.
- Activate “Start minimized at Windows startup”.
- Activate “Minimize to tray”.
- Close the “Settings” menu.
- Click on “Add”.
- Click on “Title” and enter “Project Zomboid”.
- Click on “Browse” and locate your Project Zomboid .exe.
- Activate “Auto scale”.
- Leave “Delay” at “0”.
- Slide “Sharpness” one [1] step to the right.
- Make sure that “Scaling Type” is set to “LS1”.
- Make sure that “Frame Generation” is set to “Off”.
- Activate “Clip cursor”.
- Leave everything else as is.
- Minimize the Lossless Scaling window, do not click on the “X”.
- Start Project Zomboid, the game should launch in fullscreen.
- Done, enjoy a properly scaled UI on a 4K monitor.
Important note: Keep in mind that this fix is of a temporary nature, the developers said that they were going to fix this issue in B42; whether or not that statement was the truth remains to be seen.
