PAYDAY 2 – Car Shop Stealth Guide (Death Sentence)

A guide that provides (somewhat) comprehensive explanations as to obtain the easiest way of stealth success in this small and tightly packed map.

Guide to Car Shop Stealth

Preplanning

While this map has no preplanning in the lobby, it is good to have a plan nonetheless before you break in to such place. Try and learn the basic layouts of the map before you attempt to stealth it in Death Sentence difficulty. This is ironically the only way to correctly stealth any map in Payday 2 as blindly diving into the maximum difficulty in heists will always get you shot to death and restarting.

That point aside, please follow the instructions stated below if you are willing to use this guide to it’s maximum extent.

Go to the left side of the Teuer Automotives building and look at the second floor. There should be a couple of doors and the one farther in to the hall should either be open or locked with a keypad and have “Storage” written on top of it.

Unlock the power box by the vehicle gates and rewire it to open it regardless of the storage room being upstairs or not.

Image of the upstairs storage room from outside:

If you locate the storage room, this means the keys to the Lamborghinis (Falcoginis) will be upstairs on that exact room.

If you do not see the labelled room but rather an unlocked door without labels, this means the storage room is downstairs right after you walk past the stairs going up and take a left on the ground floor.

Phase 1 of Infiltration

You’ve successfully located the storage room. Now let’s move on to actually breaking in. The best way to do this in my personal experience is to take the fire exit staircase that is to the back of the inside of the building and to the right. It is a metal door that takes above 7 seconds to pick, but if you time the guard patrol routes right, you won’t have problems.

There often is a titan camera there though, so you will need an ECM jammer or the camera loop perk at the very least.

Location of the downstairs fire exit door:

After gaining access to the fire exit, acknowledge the fact that guards will start using it irregularly when you lockpick the glass window door going to the second floor.

Make sure you pick the rooftop access door as well as it is an easy bodybag storage area without any risk of detection.

Alternatively, you can return to the powered vehicle gate you unlocked in the preplanning section of this guide and enter through there, go to the back of the building and go to the roof for a safer entry.

Now comes the difficult task of locating the manager. He can be in multiple locations.

  1. In the public office area diagonally to the right from the second floor fire exit door.
  2. In the meeting room next to the public office.
  3. Speaking to the loud husband and wife next to the meeting room (by the water pump, in public.)
  4. In the private office next to the actual stairs that take you upstairs (not the fire exit).
  5. Sitting with an NPC by the second floor fire exit door.
  6. Idling in the room next to the upstairs storage room door (it doesn’t need to be a storage room for this one to be a spawn location)
  7. Can rarely be seen walking to a certain spot stated above if the heisters are fast in infiltration.

Physical appearance of the manager:

Phase 2 of Infiltration

You have located the manager and any NPCs that may be near him, good job!

Now comes the delicate part of actually obtaining the GENSEC keycard from the manager. My best suggestion would be to shoot him and NPCs near the manager, bag them up and stash them in the rooftop/under the office cubicle directly facing the meeting room. If you have to wait until some NPCs/guards walk off, do so.

Office cubicle that is ideal to hide bodies under it:

After obtaining the keycard, find the manager’s office. It will be in the second floor imbetween the kitchen and the private office. Enter the office, walk inwards, turn around and read the whiteboard. Type the person’s name to the chat even if you are doing this alone.

The manager’s office:

Whiteboard example:

“Donald Alexander” for example. Now, take the name you’ve found and pay a visit to the offices in the building to hack the computer belonging to the name you’ve found. It will take a minute or so. While the hacking happens, exit the automotive gallery and return to the heist van/anywhere safe outside and wait the hacking to finish.

Upstairs public office, correct worker’s cubicle in my own run:

You will now get the prompt to grab some C4 explosives from the van and place them to the traffic-restricted area. Make sure no guards and civilians are nearby, then start planting.

C4 prompt:

After your planting is done, put down an ECM jammer if you have it and make your way back either by running in the front doors or by sneaking back in. The ECM jammer is to avoid any detection by C4s but can be purposed additionally if you just want to run back in.

Location of the C4 planting:

Get in to the storage room, open the box and grab your ignition keys. The C4 will explode at that point if every actual player has taken keys. Run to the front of the gallery with the Lamborghinis, unlock them and drive them in to the tunnel opened by the C4s.

Storage room:

You only have 2 minutes in Death Sentence. Plenty of time even if you crash and come to a stop two times. I’ve stress tested this a lot and three full stops are just barely enough to make it to the containers and complete the heist.

Cars:

The best advices I can give for you in the drive are:

  • Drive fast, but watch your vehicle’s understeering in sharp corners. The car doesn’t handle like a real life sports car and struggles in sharp corners.
  • Adding to above, maintain high speeds and don’t brake too much. The car may not be superb at steering, but it isn’t trash either.
  • Do not try action movie maneuvers. You will hit something on the road and come to a full stop. Simply drive carefully and in high speeds.
  • Do not fly in to the container you’re supposed to park. Drop down your speed and enter it steadily.

My end time in normal difficulty:

41 seconds to spare even with an intentional crash to spend some extra time!

A winner is you!

You have successfully stolen a Lamborghini Gallardo! Good job.
