Farming Simulator 17 – How to Transport Large Amounts of Fertilizer and Seed in Bulk

For this tutorial we will be showing you how to transport fertilizer, but this will work for seed as well. This is especially helpful for loading the larger seeders and fertilizer spreaders that can have a capacity of 9,000 or even 20,000 liters.

Transporting Your Fertilizer / Seeds

Don’t you just hate having to put all the individual seed and fertilizer pallets on trailers at the store and then storing them at your farm? Well you don’t have to do that. As you can see in the picture below, almost all the tippers are able to hold seed and solid fertilizer.

So make sure you have a frontloader attachment and a pallet fork for this part. I first started by going to the store and buying 10 pallets of the solid fertilizer. Next I picked up each pallet and dumped the contents into the tipper.

After having emptied all the pallets you can see there is now just about 10,000 liters of fertilizer in the tipper.

Storing Your Fertilizer / Seeds

Once you have arrived at your farm you can now dump the contents of the tipper anywhere you would like. I have opted to dump it in one of the sheds. Using the new dump anywhere feature in FS17 you can empty the contents of your trailer using Left Ctrl + I.

Using Your Fertilizer / Seeds

Now whenever you want to load a seeder or fertilizer spreader you can use a frontloader bucket. This allows you to use the wheel loader bucket with its larger capacity rather than dumping each individual pallet.

I have also opted to use a seeder for this guide. Only certain seeders can use fertilizer while sowing. You can see your sower has this option by looking at the picture below.

Now all you have to do is load up your seeder or fertilizer spread with seeds and, or fertilizer and you can get to work!
