Informative guide about the basics and in depths of the Kosmo Revenant.

Other Killsquad Guides:

Introduction

All credit goes to Lost Sinner!

Kosmo is a monstrous powerhouse, came back from the dead of the empty cold space whose now job is cracking skulls for fun. As a solid walking tank, he has many durability and crowd control abilities that allow him to hold hordes of enemies then walk out alive. His arsenal is a huge variety of heavy hitting Two-Handed weapons ranging from a big Thunder Hammer to a Rocket Powered Axe, or a literal Bomb on a metal pole.

Overshield (Passive)

Overshield protects you from received damage. Every attack hit recharges it.

Kosmo can generate extra shield for himself that acts as another extra health pool, making him really durable in front-line, the more vicious he fights the more tanky he becomes. This shield generates based on number of hits he made, so multi-hits attacks or abilities are the best way to charge his shield, especially when against horde of enemies.

Stampede (Dodge)

Charge foward dealing damage and pushing foes away.

Think of it a tank cruising into you, it won’t just bounce you away, but instead drags you along with the pain, thus sum up this skill. Kosmo dash attack register multi-hits and drag any creeps with you or push nearby ones away. Great tool to crowd control and draw aggro from enemies or quickly charge up your overshield since it does multi-hits.

Skill Tree

Berserk Taunt

Taunt nearby enemies and increase Kosmo damage for 6s (Cooldown: 8s).

The damage boost makes Kosmo a powerhouse to be recockened with, also main tool for drawing aggro to keep enemies in check and hold them close so you could smack them into bits easier. Always have it up at all times before you unleash hell on enemies.

Stomp

Smash the ground, stunning enemies in front of you then dunk a heavy AoE stomp for 350 damage (Cooldown: 10s).

The first AoE blow will stun even mini-bosses for awhile so you and allies can quickly maul them down. Keep in mind that when airbone Kosmo becomes invulnerable, giving him more survivalbility against the hordes or get him out of dangerous situations with the right timing.

(I-frame on Stomp is not instant as said only when he’s airbone, normally you would time and cast it one second earlier before enemy special attacks arrive)

Whirlwind

Spin around dealing 100 damage per hit in area for 1.6s (Cooldown: 12s).

Great damaging crowd control skill, it will suck enemies in and interrupt them while you move freely around the battlefield. Whirlwind can recharge your Overshield really fast, constantly filling it up to full for the entire duration, especially when performed in a horde of enemies. Use this ability again to cancel early or combo into Stomp to stun mini-bosses smoothly mid-spin (This skill is also amazing at regaining HP if you used a lifesteal weapon).

Skill Upgrades

I will only list and breakdown notable upgrade options.

Level 2

Twister

Extend Whirlwind duration by 2 seconds.

Spin to win?

Level 4

Berserk Burning Aura

Kosmo gain an aura that buff damge by +50% for both him and allies.

Makes Berserk even stronger, allow Kosmo to dish out some heavy damage. Now your friends can also enjoy some of that sweet damage boost themselves when they are near you.

Level 6

Protection Matrix

Makes you and nearby allies invulnerable for 8 seconds.

Does what it said, immortal status to everyone for 8 seconds so Kosmo and his buds can gang up on their enemies without worrying about anything. Do remember the downtime, it would be awkward if you happened to eat a strong blow in the face right at the moment the invulnerability went off.

Aerial Blast

Leap into the air, after 3 seconds dive down onto the ground dealing 2500 base damage.

Kosmo bodied on the aliens with style, during the initial animation you are invulnerable until ability ends as you landed. Best suited for solo play so you can AoE nukes enemies to dust. In multiplayer the charges up so slow, your party would clean up everything before you come flying down. You could still pick this if your squad wasn’t killing stuffs fast enough.

Level 8

Taunt Block

Grants invulnerability window at the beginning of taunt, negate any incoming damages.

There is actually a 0,5s delay before the i-frame kicks after using Taunt. Pick this upgrade for unique boss contracts (gold ones) to shrug off their strongest attacks, otherwise it isn’t necessary for other runs unless you like i-framing through stuffs.

After Shock

Adds a delay explosion that deals 200% damage.

Kosmo smash!

(Sort of bugged right now so avoid until fixed, the explosion is even weaker than the initial two-hit stomps v.621)

Mechanic Energy

Overshield generated increases 100 per hit.

This is what you would pick when not using Taunt Block for extra durability by generating your overshield faster than usual. But also improve your DPS in a way with Aggresive Matrix at level 10, as it helps getting the 100% damage boost faster.

Level 10

Aerial Power

200% bonus damage after use for 10 seconds.

You get 200% damage boost when Aerial Power performed, boosting the ultimate damage itself. When you finally landed, you have like 5 seconds of 200% damage boost to make use of. One time wonder nuke damage, otherwise in term of consistent DPS, Aggresive Matrix is better.

Aggressive Matrix

If you have 80% or more shield you will receive +100% damage boost.

Kosmo ascend into a cosmic being whenever he is near or fully charged. Aerial Blast will benefit from this as well, just make sure you charge your Overshield first.

Extra Batteries

Protection Matrix CD reduced by 20 seconds and duration is incremented by 5 seconds.

Kosmo and his mates playing god for 13 seconds straight, and more often with reduced cooldown. Pick this if you want to be a friendly supportive Kosmo.

Weapon Choices

1. MJOLNIR

Kosmo attacks have 20% chance to spark a lightning that chain up to 3 times to nearby enemies (can bounce back to previous struck targets), making it a devasting weapon, especially for mobbing when you can proc multiple sparks.

On 1 v 1 situation where sparks don’t jump and only damage once, it’s still extra dps increase everytime the effect procs. Although most of the time you will be fighting with atleast 2 or more enemies, even S rank bosses spawn extra creeps from time to time.

Modifier priorities:

  • Upgraded Berserk: Buff Damage increased by 40%.
  • Noxius: +20% Damage.
  • Right here right now: +50% lifesteal done by basic attacks,
  • Any DoTs: pure dps increase on procs.

2. NAZDA

Despite Kosmo attack speed is slow, this bonus is still huge when you consider his attacks hurt like a truck, among the damage buffs. At max level, your basic attacks will do thousands after thousands making this weapon really ideal to rush boss contracts, especially good against S rank bosses.

Modifier priorities:

  • Upgraded Berserk: Buff Damage increased by 40%.
  • Noxius: +20% Damage.
  • Unerring: +20% Critchance.
  • Right here right now: +50% lifesteal done by basic attacks.
  • Any DoTs: pure dps increase on procs.

3. BULWARK

If you personally find yourself not good at Kosmo yet, or just like spin to win then this is a good pick. Kosmo can tank special attacks with no to minimum injuries thanks to the damage reduction on top of his Overshield (or Armor plates if had)

Modifier priorities:

  • Upgraded Berserk: Buff Damage increased by 40%.
  • Upgraded Whirlwind: Increases Whirlwind damage by 50%.
  • Right here right now: +50% lifesteal done by basic attacks.
  • Noxius: +20% Damage.
  • Any DoTs: pure dps increase on procs.
