Destiny 2 – How to Succeed at the Seraph Tower Public Event

Radio-3 goes over the basics and mechanics of the Seraph Tower Public Event.

I’m Radio-3, a Guardian just like you. I’m making guides to help newer Guardians or those who are just confused in general. As a Warlock, I know firsthand that Information is Power, which is why it’s important to stay informed. Without further ado, here we go.

What Is A Seraph Tower? Why Am I Doing This?

It’s not super important, but good to know. It’s a special tower we Guardians need to help power so the Warmind Rasputin can activate the satellites necessary to blow the Almighty out of the sky before it falls on our precious city. But most importantly there’s cool gear in it for us! If any of that sounded like complete gibberish, you should probably play the Red War and Warmind campaigns, available from Amanda Holliday in the Hangar at the Tower.

How Do I Get Started?

Well it’s simple. After seeing that cool new cutscene we got, talk to Commander Zavala. He’ll send you on a quest line to pay Ana Bray a visit on Mars. Following this questline will guide you through the process of opening the first bunker and getting Rasputin off the ground. Now comes the Towers.

First you’ll probably want to raise your power level. This is pretty easy now that the cap has been moved up to 1010, but you’ll probably need about 970 to survive and be useful.

Uh, Where Are They?

Oh right! See, they’re the odd looking diamonds on the map on Earth, on the Moon, and on Io. To start them, Rally to the flag next to it and look for the interact prompt near the centre platform. This should say “Activate Seraph Tower Event”.

Get On With It. How Do I Do Well?

Well the secret is teamwork unsurprisingly enough. The goal is to power the towers with the energy balls they produce. To maximise energy production, you need to keep the enemies out of the diamond platforms, specifically the one where the tower is raised. Successfully defending a tower will reward you with 8 energy balls. Should you accidentally fail and an enemy is still on the platform when the tower generates it’s energy, you’ll only get 2. Ana will make sure you know ahead of time.

Not a huge problem right away, as the tower will generate more as it goes, but it can be a problem if unattended to.

Hey look, there goes one now!

So Those Energy Balls..?

Are used to power the middle tower. How do we do that you ask? Throw them at the orange glowing orb reaching across from the Centre Tower to the active one.

This will cause it to move down the line towards the Centre. Once it reaches the Centre Tower, congrats! You got one. Now you need to move on to the next Tower to do the same. Rinse, Repeat until the Tower’s Power percentage reaches 100%. We’re in the endgame now.

Okay, I Powered The Tower, Now What?

The enemy faction will call upon their Barrier or Unstoppable Champions . It’ll be hard to take these guys out without the mods from the seasonal Artifact, so grab those and slap em’ on. They should be walk in the park with the right teamwork and Mods. After this you can pick up your rewards from the centre Tower where the event was started.

And you’ll get a bonus with an encrypted Warmind Bit. So good job! You’ve successfully completed a Seraph Tower Event! That’s everything right?

What Would Get me the Best Results?

As this is a team oriented activity, anything that benefits not only you, but your team as well. I personally use Well of Radiance and place it on the Side Towers to help my friends. I’ve also run Chaos Reach for high single target damage on some of the beefier foes. For Titans almost anything goes, other than Ward of Dawn and for Hunters Tether Shadowshot works wonders.

Soooo… I Keep Failing…

Hey, don’t worry. Happens to the best of us. You want every advantage you can get. Some things you can try are Grinding the Seraph Bunker in the EDZ to unlock that Tower’s Large Construct Summon platform, where you can build a construct to help fight the tougher foes. Maybe you aren’t at a high enough power level? Try grinding playlist activities to get powerful drops for that extra boost.
