Dysmantle – Guide to Cooking Recipes

Cooking recipes are really important in this game as they give permanent buffs once consumed for the first time. Here is a list of the ones I’ve found so far.

Foreword

Farming materials before you start crafting is a good idea

I’d suggest to not use all your materials right away, but to better use farm tiles and get more before you run out. Places like Packard Family Farm and Evans Farmhouse have fields where you can easily farm your crop in big quantities.

The tools you are going to need for doing this are the Hoe and the Bag of Seeds that you can unlock from the skill tree under the Farming section (right after you unlock the shovel).

Once you have all this, you can start your personal farm. A tile of fertile soil requires 20 Plants that is very easy to find everywhere around the map. And with this out of the way, let’s get to the cooking!

Introduction to the Cooking Book

I haven’t tried, but I remember that somewhere I read about being able to craft those recipes even without the blueprints once you have the materials and you know what is neccesary. Those are so far the recipes I’ve found:

Ingredients and Their Locations

Tomato, Carrot, Corn, Lettuce, Onion, Potato and Wheat can be found inside houses, when the fridge in the kitchen has a search option, you are going to find those ingredients. They don’t come in big quantities so it’s better to farm them in the beggining.

Spices can also be found inside houses, usually lying on the tables inside the kitchen.

Common Fish, Red Herring and Green Fish can be found to the fishing spots. You need to craft the fishing rod before, and for making it faster, “Tackle trinket” can be usefull for a 75% fishing speed extra. Finding the fishing spots is easy, look for the areas with bubbles around docks. Green Fish can be found only in the winter areas like Borealis and Arcturus or in the hot area Everglade.

Meat and Bones can be found by hunting animals like the Deer and Caribou (winter area). Ex Wolves also drop Bones.

• Brown Mushrooms, Red Mushrooms, White Mushrooms can be found randomly in the forest. You need Gatherer Lvl 1 skill to be able to collect them.
• Brown Mushrooms are the most common and can be found around the starting areas like Fairwood, Hedgefield and Canaveral.
• Red Mushrooms can be found in the hot area of Everglade. You need the Cowboy hat and the Ice brick trinket to survive the temperature here.
• White Mushrooms can be found in the winter areas of Borealis and Arcturus. You need the Fur hat, the Outdoorsman Outfit and the Hot Water Bottle trinket to survive the temperature here.

Berries and Eggs are the easiest to come around and can be found randomly around every area of the map, usually forest. You need Gatherer Lvl 1 skill to be able to collect them.

Apples, Cactus and Rice cannot be found in game in the current build (0.6.1.6). I will update with the locations when available.

Uncraftable Recipes

There are three more recipes at the end of the list. However they cannot be crafted yet because the requested ingredients are not in the cooking list. The crafting requires a different process (maybe from the skill tree) that is not available yet. This is what they look like:
