Arcanium – Random Tips for Each Heroes

I just spend some time to write stuff i learnt while learning all heroes in the game. Personally, i went with all random in both adventure and arena, and tried to problem solved each runs. IMO that what made the game fun for me, since i kept seeing ppl complaint about the game too easy or required to have support / healer to win the game.

Heroes Tips

Сrеdit gоеs to iwansquall!

I will list down based on heroes pages in collection screen.

  1. Angorn

Nothing much to say aside from keep fully healed. Just take note regeneration only tick at beginning of turn, so you might want to delay kill the last enemy. Backlash is pretty nice counter to those pesky multistrike enemies.

  1. Aurora

Burn specialist. Self-burn is pretty tricky to use even with 3rd ultimate. Usually i just put her at side lane, and be self-sustain burn + armor. If enemy have passive that return damage or backlash, she can easily overcome it.

  1. Bjorn

Was my go to bruiser class. Can dish decent damage and have access to life steal / recover. Just take note that 1st ultimate is useless vs final boss. If you stack high amount of rage via that 1 deadly enchant, you can do many nasty stuff with it. Just make sure your health not too low.

  1. Carrion

I wasnt fan of minion build, as usually they are kinda costly to spam for heal passive. Generally i try to find leech for sustain long fight (in case team with no support). Another playstyle i like to build long range nuker with Rotten Breath, assuming you have vulnerable and critical.

  1. Celeste

Some ppl dislike her for needing to be offensive. Personally i just focus on spamming cheap attack to build faith and find way to get fury ASAP. Her 1st ultimate is good for sustain. Trick here is to learn hitting dead corpse to build fury. She also can go shock if you have another multistrike in the team.

  1. Drakkaw

Kinda like hidden gem. Playstyle really depend on your team composition and what your team needed. Spamming 1st ultimate would be tricky if you dont way to manage the self-hex. Can self-sustain with weak + heal heirloom. Kinda like celeste, if you have too many high cost attack, you will have issue trigger the blight passive every turn.

  1. Lazaar

My favourite offensive support / tank. Regardless which ultimate, he have access to help shield or buff damage for your teammate. Despite the life lost from hemmorhage, still can solo self-sustain with access to many life steal. I felt might synergies might be weaker side unless you have multistrike in your team.

  1. Leon

Ppl said he is the best tank, but I had issue change to offensive role. Most of his kit rely around shield and taunt, but also need to be at middle if you want bolster to reduce cost by 3 AP. 1 gimmick is like to use is to get that “scope artifact”, allow him to be at side. You can taunt enemy from other side of the lane with it.

  1. Maverick

One of the hero you will unlock. A more toward spamming playstlye with built in haste + hex. Abit tricky trying to self-sustain since he really want to go pure offensive. Light & void element is really interesting combination, My fav is to use hunting shotgun where attack can critical if it final card in your hand and it work with 1st ultimate.

  1. Milady

My fav hero who helped me won my first apex run. She is versatile and fit in many team lineup. Finding synergies with multistrike and vulnerable is my fav go to, regardless any ultimate you get. Defensive / dash with arcana side and offensive on elemental side. All her starter card cost only 1, so i can focus upgrade other character first.

  1. Misty

Shock & multistrike specialist. Supposed to be self-sustain with chi, but i rarely have success playing as defensive / tank role. Mostly since base damage is low, getting shieldsteal to work is abit tricky (need might / vulnerable / critical). Extremely good if you have another multi-strike in the team for shock synergies.

  1. Mozebus

Weirdest charater to play since all ultimate is mostly used for utility. Get high stack of locked / normal overload to combo with ultimate is tricky, since fury not generated if you using overload. Can work with very well with many of powerful high cost debuff on arcana and void side in late game though.

  1. Ragnarok

Promote probably the best passive for minion build. He can self-sustain with couple of life steal or leech from void side. Not a straight shield tank or offensive though, Weak is good vs enemy multistrike, but not good vs heavy hitter. Make full use of minion shop, especially one with instant / expire. Draw every minion artifact will solve your draw problem.

  1. Shinzo

Ultimate tank that can still go offensive. The resilience stack mean he can effectively tank many hits from enemies. Just take note his kit mostly selfish (no shielding ally), so you need to taunt. I just finished a run where shinzo is main offensive, since arcana have some powerful nuker and he is good melee character to be at center.

  1. Tara

Ultimate offensive character, probably the best. With access to vulnerable and ability to gain more AP, she can deal single target pretty quickly. Also can be self sustain if needed since she have access to nature and defensive heirloom. Vulnerable, power and critical when poison artifact is godsend for her.

  1. Thoran

Misunderstood character for me. Despite have minion, it shouldnt be main focus until you have access to minion support card. Giving free AP and fury generation for team is extremely powerful. Usually i focus on shuffling card into ally, although seem he can be ok-ish melee burn offensive if needed.
