Introduction to Improving Your Knights

Your Knights are what you control during battle. Each Knight has their own unique characteristics. While some are hardy and slow, others are heavy hitting but weak. Choosing the best team for a quest is vital to bringing down the Mad King Magnus.

As you progress through the game, you will need to improve your Knights of Veda. To do this you will need to level up, ascend and improve your combat prowess. You can also improve your Knight’s equipment to further improve their abilities in the field.

Obtaining Knights

Obtaining the Knights of Veda

Call of the Stars

Knights can be obtained through the Call of the Stars menu. Different Call of the Stars will require different Crystals. These Crystals can be purchased with Rubies (premium currency) or with Starstones (given through daily quests, missions, Master of the Book levels, etc.). More information can be found on the Call of the Stars menu.

Memories of the Stars and Abyss of the Stars are awarded every time you use the Call of the Stars function. These items can be exchanged for various items, and the store for these items can be found via the ‘Exchange’ button in the Call of the Stars menu.

Memories of the Stars

  • Can be exchanged for various items in the store. These are traces of the Knights of Veda, and still contain some of the power of Veda

Abyss of the Stars

  • Can be exchanged for various items in the store. These are remnants of the power left behind by the legendary Knights of Veda.

Leveling Up Your Knights

Knight Enhancement

Leveling up your Knights requires the ‘Record’ items. These items come in 3 grades, Wanderer’s Records (green grade), Adventurer’s Records (blue grade) and Hero’s Records (purple grade). The green grade records give a small amount of EXP to your Knights when used, and the purple grade records give a large amount of EXP.

Records can be earned through multiple activities, including the Wealth of the Holy Grail, Adventure Mode, and can also be purchased from Betty Roxy, the Sundries vendor in Todburg.

These materials are required to level up your Knights.

  • Wanderer’s Record
  • Adventurer’s Record
  • Hero’s Record

To use your Records, you will need to head to the Book menu, then select the Knight that you wish to level up. Immediately you will be presented with the Level Up options on the right hand side. If not, you can navigate back to this page by selecting the ‘Level Up’ tab. Then you should select the level up materials you wish to use. The new level of the character will be displayed at the top of the right hand page. Once you are happy with the amount of Records that you have selected, hit enhance and the Records will be consumed to level up your Knight.

If you just wish to use your current records on one character, you can select the “Batch Processing” option which will consume as many books that are needed to take your character to their current max. Level. If there are not enough to take your character to their max level, “Batch Processing” will consume all records available, and leave your characters at the highest level they can go.

Note: You will also need to spend gold in order to level up your Knights.

Ascending Your Knights

Knight Ascension

You will need to Ascend your Knight in order to break through their current maximum level. Ascending your Knight requires various different materials, depending on the Ascension level your Knight is currently at. These materials can be earned through Adventure Mode (when fighting the final boss of a chapter), or purchased from vendors in Todburg.

Ascend your Knight with the following items.

  • Insignia of Victory
  • Insignia of Truth
  • Goddess’s Insignia

Once ascended, you will be able to continue leveling your character up with Records. As your character ascends higher, you may also need role specific materials in order to break through their current max limits. Once you reach this point, you can press the item on the book page to find out where specific items can be found, or use the Adventure Guide to check all stages which feature ascension materials.
