In Limgrave, Elden Ring’s starting region, focus on key locations and quests for a solid beginning. Near the First Step Site of Grace, talk to White Mask Varre to gain insights and start his quest. Make your way to the Church of Elleh to find Merchant Kale, avoiding the Tree Sentinel boss due to its early-game difficulty. At the church, purchase a Crafting Kit, Torch, and Telescope from Kale, and note the upgrade bench. Exploring optional caves and catacombs offers valuable talismans and materials.

Acquire the Limgrave West map fragment and Whetstone Knife at Gatefront Ruins, and find Ash of War: Storm Stomp in an underground chest. Rest at the Gatefront Site of Grace to unlock Torrent, your mount, through Melina. Teleport back to the Church of Elleh Site of Grace to meet Renna, unlocking the Spirit Calling Bell and acquiring the Lone Wolf Ashes.

Southeast of Gatefront, find and aid Boc the Seamster, transforming him back from a small red tree. This quest leads to the Coastal Cave and, further, the Church of Dragon Communion. Defeating a Night’s Cavalry on the bridge southeast of Boc rewards the Ash of War: Repeating Thrust.

For sorcery aspirants, unlock Sorceress Sellen in Waypoint Ruins, south of Gatefront. In Stormhill, assist Roderika and receive the Sitting Sideways gesture and Spirit Jellyfish Ashes, ensuring her quest’s completion before your first visit to the Roundtable Hold. Collect a Golden Seed and a Stonesword Key near Stormhill Shack.

At Warmaster’s Shack in Stormhill, purchase Ashes of War from Knight Bernahl. Defeat the Bell Bearing Hunter boss at night for the Bone Peddler’s Bell Bearing, unlocking new shop items at Roundtable Hold. South, a Deathbird mini-boss drops the Blue-Feathered Branchsword talisman.

Northeast from the shack, aid Alexander (Potboy) for the Triumphant Delight gesture and Exalted Flesh. Nearby, Deathtouched Catacombs offer assassin-class gear, including an Uchigatana and the Assassin’s Crimson Dagger talisman.

Meet D, Hunter of the Dead, past the bridge for another quest line. Finally, explore Murkwater Cave and Catacombs in lower Limgrave, where aiding against an invader leads to meeting Bloody Finger Hunter Yura for his quest.

East Limgrave

East Limgrave in Elden Ring offers few objectives but challenging Rune Bears; avoid them and focus on looting, especially if underleveled.

Start by heading to broken structures near the northern cliff, accessible from the Artist’s Shack grace or north from the Gatefront Ruins. Defeat demi-humans there, then meet and agree to help Kenneth Haight atop the ruins. He’ll task you with liberating his keep to the south.

Next, head northeast to the Third Church of Marika to find essential items like the Flask of Wondrous Physick and Crimson Crystal Tear. Southwards, near the map fragment, collect the Greenspill Crystal Tear and Spiked Cracked Tear, and defeat a Teardrop Scarab for Ash of War: Ground Slam.

Enter a nearby structure, descend to the Siofra River, activate the Site of Grace, then return. At the Mistwood Ruins, interact with a howling wolf; then, return to the Church of Elleh to get a gesture from Merchant Kalé for Blaidd to initiate his quest.

Further south, optionally visit the Nomadic Merchant. At Fort Haight, collect a Golden Seed, defeat enemies, and obtain the Dectus Medallion (Left) and other items. Report back to Kenneth for rewards and a choice to serve him.

Then, head to Summonwater to defeat the Tibia Mariner, earning Deathroot and Skeletal Militiamen Ashes for a dialogue with D, Hunter of the Dead. A portal at the Third Church of Marika leads to the next location, with Melina offering passage to the Roundtable Hold.

Lastly, a gateway to the Bestial Sanctum in eastern Caelid will be marked for later exploration.

South Limgrave & Weeping Peninsula

In Southern Limgrave, start by visiting Bloody Finger Hunter Yura under a ruin west of the Artist’s Shack. Then, head to Lake Agheel to defeat Flying Dragon Agheel with Torrent’s help, and trade the Dragon Heart for Incantations at the Church of Dragon Communion via Coastal Cave.

Sorcerers should seek the Royal House Scroll southeast of Agheel Lake South, near a cliff statue, to unlock more inventory with Sorceress Sellen. The scroll is on a corpse by a structure guarded by a knight.

For Blaidd’s quest, defeat Bloodhound Knight Darriwil at Forlorn Hound Evergaol with Blaidd’s help, who will reward you with a Somber Smithing Stone (2).

In the Weeping Peninsula, meet Irina and promise to speak to her father at Castle Morne. Defeat the Night’s Cavalry miniboss at night near Castle Morne Rampart for Ash of War: Barricade. Use a jump spring near the Site of Grace to access Oridy’s Rise for a Memory Stone, hitting 3 turtles to unlock it.

Southwest from Bridge of Sacrifice, find the Forest Lookout Tower for a Hand Ballista. Mages should head to Demi-Human Forest Ruins west of South Lookout Tower grace for the Demi-Human Queen’s Staff, or seek the Meteorite Staff in Caelid’s Swamp of Aeonia.

North of Oridy’s Rise, find a Faith-knot Crystal Tear and westward, a church with a Sacred Tear. Southward leads to Tombsward Catacombs and the Minor Erdtree for flask upgrades. Mausoleums in the area replicate Remembrances.

West of the Minor Erdtree, another church offers a Sacred Tear, and the Isolated Merchant’s Shack sells a lantern. Note the Witchbane Ruins’ location for Sorceress Sellen’s later quest.

Castle Morne, south of Night’s Cavalry, holds a golden seed and map fragment. Inside, navigate through enemies to meet Edgar. Complete the boss fight, then return to Irina to conclude her quest.

Roundtable Hold

• Head up from Stormhill into Stormveil
• Defeat the Boss
• Visit Roundtable Hold
• Talk to all NPCs
• Upgrade your Weapons

At Stormveil’s gates, defeat Margit the Fell Omen to meet Melina and travel to the Roundtable Hold. Here, familiarize yourself with the area and NPCs, unlocking several quests:

Roderika & Hewg: Meet Roderika in the Hold after giving her the Chrysalids’ Memento at Stormhill Shack or resting at any Liurnia grace. She rewards you with a Golden Seed. Encourage Hewg to take her as an apprentice through dialogue. After multiple conversations and reloading the Hold, Roderika becomes your Spirit Tuner. Return to the Memento’s location to find the Crimson Hood.

D, Hunter of the Dead: Post Tibia Mariner defeat, D directs you to Gurranq, the Beast Clergyman, in Caelid’s Bestial Sanctum. Gurranq’s quest involves collecting Deathroot, offering new items per root. After the fourth Deathroot, an event triggers upon your next visit. Pacify the attacker without defeating them; the quest completes after nine Deathroots.

Fia: Initiate her quest by allowing her to hold you in her room, receiving Baldachin’s Blessing, which lowers your max HP.

Brother Corhyn & Diallos: Speak to Corhyn for introductions and incantations, and start Diallos’ quest by exhausting his dialogue. He appears in other locations later.

Prioritize upgrading weapons at the Hold to prepare for Stormveil Castle’s challenges.

Stormveil Castle

• Take the alternate entrance to the Stormveil Castle
• Ascend the Castle and clear Enemies in your path
• Defeat the Banished Knight and retrieve the Rusty Key
• Obtain the Stonesword Key
• Use the Key to dispel the fog in front of the gates and enter
• Locate Nepheli Loux and speak to her
• Clear the Castle
• Fight the Lion Guardian Mini-boss
• Prepare for a Boss battle and summon Nepheli
• Defeat Godrick the Grafted

Before Stormveil Castle, go northeast of Stormhill Shack for the Strength-Knot Crystal Tear, guarded by a giant. At Castleward Tunnel, defeat a mini-boss before entering the castle. Near the main gate, follow the left path for items and speak to Gatekeeper Gostoc for an alternate entrance. Loot nearby for Golden Rune (1), 3 Ruin Fragments, and a Smithing Stone. Defeat a Bladed Talon Eagle and find a Marred Leather Shield on the wooden platforms. Clear Castle Guards to proceed, obtaining another Golden Rune (2).

Inside, clear the wine cellar and continue through, picking up Throwing Daggers, St. Trina’s Arrow, and a Smoldering Butterfly. A Banished Knight guards a Rusty Key and Curved Sword Talisman. Use the key for cellar access, finding Fire Grease and a Brick Hammer. Retrieve a Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot and encounter more Banished Knights. Find the Claw Talisman on a rooftop.

Afterward, meet Sorcerer Rogier near a Summoning Pool and proceed through an armory, facing Castle Guards. Obtain Exile Armor, Magic Grease, and various Golden Runes. Encounter the Omen and find a Wooden Greatshield and Furlcalling Finger Remedy. On the rooftops, find a Stonesword Key and a gesture.

Facing the Grafted Scion is optional; defeating it earns 1176 Runes. Use a Rusty Key to explore further, finding a Mimic’s Veil and Golden Runes. Activate a lift in the armory for a new Site of Grace. Defeat a Teardrop Scarab for Ash of War: Stormcaller.

In the castle grounds, defeat a Troll for access to Nepehli Loux, who assists in the final boss battle. Obtain the Omen Cleaver and Prophecy Painting. Fight the Lion Guardian for rewards and access the Limgrave Tower Bridge Site of Grace. Use Godrick’s Great Rune at Limgrave Tower Bridge.

At the Roundtable Hold, Nepehli Loux offers an Arsenal Charm, and Gideon has updates. Rogier gifts Rogier’s Rapier (+8) and provides a shortcut to Liftside Chamber. Learn about Rogier from Fia for the Knifeprint Clue. Return to Varre for the “Bravo” Gesture.

Liurnia of the Lakes South

In Liurnia of the Lakes, start by meeting Boc the Seamster and Hyetta at the first Site of Grace, where you’ll give Hyetta the Shabriri Grape from Stormveil Castle. Thops is nearby in a church, offering basic sorcery lessons and seeking academy access.

Head northwest to find the Academy Scroll for Sorceress Sellen, enhancing her shop’s inventory. Southwards, collect the Glintstone Craftsman’s Cookbook [1] and speak to the Nomadic Merchant. Northwards, at Laskyar Ruins, find Cookbook (2) and a Ritual Pot, with the Wraith Calling Bell in a chest and a waygate near Raya Lucaria Academy.

Meet Rya to start a quest for her necklace, bought from Blackguard Big Boggart at Boilprawn Shack for 1000 runes. Return it to Rya for an invite to Volcano Manor. Encounter a Deathbird north of Rya at night for the Red-Feathered Branchsword.

Seek the Dexterity-Knot Crystal Tear on an island northwest and visit Patches at Scenic Isle. In Academy Gate Town, look for a Golden Seed.

Detour to Rose Church for the Nomadic Warrior’s Cookbook (12) and meet White Mask Varre. Use three Festering Bloody Fingers, following his request, then return to him for the Lord of Blood’s Favor.

Find Latenna in southern Liurnia, south of Scenic Isle, in the Lakeside Crystal Cave. Defeat the Bloodhound Knight to meet her in the Slumbering Wolf’s Shack, where she’ll offer aid upon showing her the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right).

Visit Malefactor’s Evergaol and return to Academy Gate Town for the map fragment and encounter Diallos. Follow the map to the Academy Glintstone Key, guarded by a magic-resistant dragon, then proceed to the academy.

Raya Lucaria Academy

• Acquire the Academy Glintstone Key
• Pick up Several Ashes
• Obtain Gravity Well Sorcery
• Get Carian Knight Set
• Get Conspectus Scroll
• Get Olivinus Glintstone Crown and Ritual Pot

To enter Raya Lucaria Academy, retrieve the Academy Glintstone Key, guarded by the Glintstone Dragon Smarag on a west island. Avoid or defeat the dragon to get the key from a corpse. With the key, head back to the South Raya Lucaria Gate to pass the barrier.

At the Academy Gate Town Site of Grace, find a Golden Seed and defeat a Giant Crab for Crab Eggs. Nearby, loot a body for Smithing Stones and kill a Teardrop Scarab for Ash of War: Charge Forth.

Inside the academy, discover the Church of the Cuckoo Site of Grace, find Rune Arc behind an illusory wall, and navigate a graveyard with Glintstone Zombies. Defeat Marionette Soldiers for their ashes and another Teardrop Scarab for Ash of War: Spectral Lance.

Explore further to find the Carian Knight Set near worshipping zombies. Defeat a Slender Wayfarer for Gravity Well sorcery, and ride a lift to find the Longtail Cat Talisman and Lost Ashes of War.

In the Schoolhouse Classroom, find the Conspectus Scroll and Glintstone Craftsman’s Cookbook [5]. Reveal an illusory wall, collect materials, and continue to the courtyard, where defeating Red Wolf of Radagon rewards you with a Memory Stone and the Debate Parlor Site of Grace.

Collect items in the courtyard, including a Golden Seed and Karolos Glintstone Crown. Inside, find Glintstone Whetblade, Shattering Crystal, and Azur’s Glintstone Staff, creating shortcuts back to key areas.

Defeat Moongrum for the Carian Knight’s Shield before facing Rennala, Queen of the Moon, for significant rewards.

Return the Academy Glintstone Key to Thops at the Church of Irith, leading to additional items, including Thops’s Bell Bearing and Academy Glintstone Staff, upon his death.

Liurnia of the Lakes East

In Liurnia of the Lakes East, start by collecting the Treespear from a caravan near Liurnia Highway South. Head to Cliffbottom Catacombs for Grave Glovewort and Kaiden Sellsword Ashes, then visit Purified Ruins for a Shabriri Grape and meet Hyetta.

At Highway Lookout Tower, obtain Carian Glintblade Staff and Glintstone Craftsman’s Cookbook (3). Encounter undead and a giant Spirit Skeleton near Gate Town Bridge. Wait for night to fight Night’s Cavalry for the Ice Spear Ash of War.

Go east from Liurnia Highway North to fight a Tibia Mariner for a Deathroot and Skeletal Bandit Ashes. Defeat a knight for the Dragon Cult Prayerbook. Visit the Artist’s Shack for the “Resurrection” Painting and a Smithing Stone (4). Reach Jarburg, speak to Jar Bairn to start his quest.

Head to Eastern Liurnia Lake Shore, explore the area, and avoid the Golem path. Unlock Eastern Tableland, find Flame, Cleanse Me! Incantation and Fire Monk Set items. Meet Miriel at Church of Vows for absolution and items for boss armor alteration.

Fight the Erdtree Avatar near the Minor Erdtree for cracked tears. Use the spirit spring to reach a Bell Mausoleum and unlock it. Explore Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel for Smithing-Stone Miner’s Bell Bearing (1).

Head north into Bellum Highway, avoiding the Madness effect. In Frenzied Flame Village, collect Frenzied’s Cookbook (1) and defeat Vyke for the Fingerprint Grape. At Church of Inhibition, dye the Lord of Blood’s Favor with blood.

Visit the Converted Fringe Tower, use the Erudition Gesture to access Cannon of Haima and Gavel of Haima. Explore Black Knife Catacombs for valuable items and defeat the Black Knife Assassin for the Black Knifeprint.

If missed, assist Yura in an invasion near the Main Academy Gate, leading to the East Raya Lucaria Gate. Don’t give Boc the Gold Sewing Needle and Golden Tailoring Tools until he’s in his final location. Speak to Melina about Boc.

Defeat the golem guarding Ainsel River Well and explore the area. This route optimizes item collection and quest progression in Liurnia of the Lakes East.

Ansel River (Underground)

• Collect Upgrade Materials
• Find Nomadic Merchant
• Collect Immunizing Horn Charm
• Defeat Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella
• Loot Boss Room

Visiting this area after Liurnia East is logical, as it offers a progression path and Smithing Stones (3) for weapon upgrades to +9. From the Site of Grace, head left, battling ants until reaching an area with Clayman enemies. Collect Upgrade Materials here. Avoid the laser-beam bug by taking the right path past a wall and using broken pillars for cover. This strategy allows for an easier approach to defeat the giant monster (Malformed Star), which does not respawn.

Find the Map (Ainsel River) and explore the Nomadic Merchant’s inventory. The Wing of Astel, a curved sword, is in a chest in an area accessible only during Ranni’s sidequest. Continue downstream, facing giant ants and basilisks to find the Immunizing Horn Charm. Follow the river to a boss room to battle the Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella for the Frozen Lightning Spear incantation. With this area complete, return to Liurnia of the Lakes’ western shores for further exploration.

Liurnia of the Lakes West

Explore Liurnia East by starting at the Folly on the Lake Site of Grace. Use Torrent to avoid swamp poison. Head south, then north, to find Village of the Albinaurics. Talk to Nepheli Loux to progress her quest. Collect a Larval Tear from a coffin. Encounter Albus as a pot near a Perfumer, revealing himself to give the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right), crucial for later areas and Latenna’s quest.

Collect other items like the Crystal Sword and confront the Omenkiller for the Crucible Knot Talisman. Interact with Nepheli at Roundtable Hold for updates. Defeat Ensha at the Hold for the Clinging Bone. Gideon offers hints about the medallion’s other half.

West from Folly on the Lake, head to Converted Tower. Use the ERUDITION gesture for a Memory Stone. Defeat the Erdtree Avatar near the Minor Erdtree for Flask Upgrades.

Explore Road’s End Catacombs for spirit ashes and materials. If Irina’s quest in Weeping Peninsula is completed, Edgar the Revenger invades near Revenger’s Shack, dropping Shabriri Grape and a weapon. Give the grape to Hyetta to advance her quest.

In Western Liurnia, head north from the Shack to challenge Cuckoo’s Evergaol. Explore The Four Belfries for glimpses of later areas and the Imbued Sword Key.

Visit Smithing Master Iji after Kingsrealm Ruins for upgrades and the Carian Knight’s Sword. Caria Manor offers the Loretta’s Greatbow sorcery. Avoid Glintstone Dragon Adula; head to Ranni’s Rise for her quest. Progress Rogier’s quest for gear and return to Ranni for further instructions.

Seluvis’s potion choice affects quest outcomes. Explore between Ranni’s and Renna’s Rise for hidden areas and Seluvis’s dialogue for a puppet. A memory stone is in Seluvis’s tower.

Blaidd and Seluvis hint at defeating Starscourge Radahn in Siofra for Nokron’s secrets, guiding the next steps in the quest.

Siofra River (Underground)

In Mistwood, descend into Siofra River Well and unlock the Site of Grace. The area is filled with Ancestral Followers; engaging them from a distance is advisable due to their powerful arrows. Collect valuable materials for weapons level 10+ including the Armorer’s Cookbook (6) and Map (Siofra River).

Blaidd can be found on the cliff edge northeast of Hallowhorn Grounds; talking to him progresses his quest. After discussions with Seluvis and Sellen about Radahn and Ranni’s fate, inform Blaidd.

To summon the special boss, Ancestor Spirit, light altars across the zone. Locations are:

• First near Siofra River Bank site of grace.
• Second west of the first.
• Third on a small island among lightning wisps.
• Fourth by an eastern cliff.
• Fifth south of Worshipper’s Woods site of grace.
• Sixth west of Worshipper’s Woods.
• Seventh and eighth near “Below the Well” site of grace, on the right and left paths respectively.

A gateway atop ruins, accessible by jumping, leads to the Dragonkin Soldier boss, rewarding the Dragon Halberd. Nearby, find Marika’s Scarseal talisman, a Golden Seed, and the “Below the Well” site of grace.

Caelid (South)

• Complete Smoldering Church
• Obtain Map Fragments

Exploring Caelid is challenging but rewarding, with valuable loot and essential quest items. Start from the Summonwater Village Outskirts and head to the Rotview Balcony to encounter various enemies and collect items, including the Armorer’s Cookbook (6) and the Map (Siofra River).

In Caelid, you’ll meet Blaidd northeast of Hallowhorn Grounds, advancing his quest. After discussing Radahn’s role in Ranni’s fate with Seluvis and Sellen, inform Blaidd.

The area features a mechanic to summon a special boss by lighting altars. Key locations include:

• The site of grace at Siofra River Bank.
• West and on a small island for pillars two and three.
• East and south from Worshipper’s Woods for the next set of pillars.
• Near “Below the Well” site for the final pillars.

In Nokron, use the Winged Scythe’s special attack to cross gaps, collecting items like the Ghostflame Torch and Rune Arc. Inside, battle Fallen Hawks Soldiers and find key items like Furlcalling Finger Remedy and Smithing Stone [5]. Discover the Nokron, Eternal City Site of Grace.

Collect Ghost-Glovewort Picker’s Bell Bearing [1] and valuable smithing materials around. Defeat enemies and navigate to a fog door leading to the Mimic Tear boss. Winning grants the Silver Tear Mask and further access into Nokron.

Cross the bridge into Ancestral Woods. Collect items like Rune Arcs and the Black Whetblade. Unlock the Mimic Tear Ashes with a Stonesword Key and battle Silver Tears disguised as large silver balls.

Advance northeast, collecting Celestial Dew and facing a Silver Tear troll. Find the Fingerslayer Blade beneath a giant skeleton, unlocking Nokron’s hidden treasure. Explore for additional valuable items and lit obelisks to challenge the Regal Ancestor Spirit.

Descend to the Siofra Aqueduct for items like the Order Healing spell and meet an NPC for the Inner Order Gesture. Defeat the Valiant Gargoyles for their weapons and rest in the coffin to travel to Deeproot Depths. Before proceeding, visit Ranni for the Cursemark of Death.

Liurnia Of The Lakes West

Finish the underground areas, but visit Ranni’s Rise first to give her the Fingerslayer Blade. If considering Seluvis’ quest, especially involving Dung Eater, delay delivering the blade. Betraying in Seluvis’ quest gains nothing and might require absolution at the Church of Vows to continue with Ranni.

After giving Ranni the blade, she rewards you with the Carian Inverted Statue for use at the Carian Study Hall. Place the statue by the globe entrance for a cutscene. Explore the Study Hall for loot and easier combat with fingercreepers.

In the secret area, defeat Preceptor Miriam for her loot. Find the Mask of Confidence and descend to a platform leading to a bridge. Cross it for the Divine Tower of Liurnia, where you’ll find the Stargazer Heirloom and Cursemark of Death.

Post-quest, Ranni disappears. Iji provides updates, and Seluvis’ and Ranni’s armor sets become accessible at Seluvis’s Rise and Renna’s Rise, respectively. Encounter Pidia in Caria Manor for additional items.

In Liurnia, help Iron Fist Alexander near the Tibia Mariner south of the Carian Study Hall. If Alexander was met at Mt. Gelmir first, this part is skipped but the quest continues.

Meet the Palm Reader for lore and explore the flooded ruins for a map and Ash of War: Vacuum Slice. Aim for “The Nameless Eternal City” site of grace, bypassing most enemies. Deactivate the nearby Walking Mausoleum by defeating Crucible Knight Siluria and looting the Crucible Tree Set.

Navigate the area to “Across the Roots” site of grace, where you’ll face fire-breathing statues and access the Fia’s Champions boss fight. This optional battle involves defeating waves of invaders for the Fia’s Mist sorcery.

After the fight, speak to Fia and hand over the Cursemark of Death if obtained from the Divine Tower of Liurnia. Reload the area after speaking with her to advance her quest. Defeat Lichdragon Fortissax in Godwyn’s dream for the Remembrance of the Lichdragon and receive the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince, leading to an alternate ending. Reload the area to obtain Fia’s Set.

If D’s Twin Brother was given the Twinned Set, speak to him post-quest for additional rewards, including the Inseparable Sword.

Return to Ainsel River Main to interact with Miniature Ranni, leading to the Baleful Shadow fight for the Discarded Palace Key.

Lake Rot requires careful navigation due to Scarlet Rot. Use Flame, Cleanse Me incantation for safer passage. Activate pillars in the lake to create safe paths and defeat the Dragonkin Soldier boss. Collect items, including Somber Smithing Stones and the Nomadic Warrior’s Cookbook [22].

Proceed to the Grand Cloister and use the coffin at the waterfall to reach an isolated area for the Astel, Naturalborn of the Void boss fight. Afterwards, return to the surface at Deep Ainsel Well.

If opting for the Grand Lift, you might encounter Rya, who proposes a visit to Volcano Manor; delay this for later exploration.

For Ruin-Strewn Precipice access, head from Caria Manor, moving east from the manor’s rear to Ravine-Veiled Village. This route offers additional loot and encounters, including a Magma Wyrm fight.

In Altus, gather items such as Archer Ashes and the Moon of Nokstella talisman. The Perfumer’s Ruins offer gear, cookbooks, and the Omenkiller Set. In Sage’s Cave, battle Necromancer Garris and the Black Knife Assassin for significant loot.

Proceeding to Lux Ruins, you may bypass Ancient Dragon Lansseax to meet Millicent. Collect valuable items throughout these regions, including at Wyndham Ruins and the Unsightly Catacombs.

For those following Millicent’s quest, ensure progress before seeking her near the Grand Lift. Explore the Lake of Rot for essential items and confront the Dragonkin Soldier boss.

In Deeproot Depths, complete Fia’s quest by defeating Lichdragon Fortissax. This grants access to an alternate ending and loot Fia’s Set.

At Fort Laiedd, activate Seethewater Terminus site of grace, collect Armorer’s Cookbook (7) and the Fire Scorpion Charm. South of the fort, defeat the Magma Wyrm for a Dragon Heart. Meet Iron Fist Alexander here for part of his quest.

Continue to Craftsman’s Shack for the Pulley Crossbow and site of grace. In Hermit Village, loot Hierodas Glinstone Crown and Prattling Pate “You’re Beautiful”. Defeat Demi-Human Queen Maggie for a Memory Stone and find Comet Azur near the village.

Cross a beam to access Gelmir Hero’s Grave for valuable loot including the Mantis Blade. Encounter wolves and a Mad Pumpkin Head near a fortification. Patches tries to trick you near Seethewater Cave.

Head to the First Mt. Gelmir Campsite site of grace, then across a beam to face a Grafted Scion. Continue to the Road of Iniquity site of grace, loot a Golden Seed, and find Map (Mt. Gelmir).

In Volcano Manor, complete quests for Tanith, Rya, and Bernahl. Obtain the Bull-Goat Set, Raging Wolf Set, and progress Rya’s quest. Fight the Godskin Noble for the Serpent’s Amnion and decide Rya’s fate.

After Volcano Manor, Patches appears in the Shaded Castle; give his item to Tanith for a reward. Visit Jarburg for updates from Jar Bairn and Diallos. Complete Sorceress Sellen’s questline by choosing between her and Witch-Hunter Jerren for different outcomes.

There are two ways to access Leyndell, the Royal Capital, but we’ll approach it from South to North to get the map fragment quickly. Start from the Altus Highway Junction grace site, cross the large bridge to the gates. Here, face optional Tree Sentinel bosses for Erdtree Greatshield or head straight to the Outer Wall Phantom Tree site. Collect 2x Golden Seed and Map (Leyndell, Royal Capital) here.

From this grace site, go south to a military camp, fight a Lesser Ulcerated Tree Spirit for a Golden Seed and loot a Giant-Crusher. Further East, reach the Minor Erdtree Church for Missionary’s Cookbook (4) and the Golden Order Seal. Travel north and slightly east, find the watery area’s southern point with the “Sealed Tunnel,” hiding secret areas like Smithing-Stone Miner’s Bell Bearing (2), Smithing Stone (5) and (6), Somber Smithing Stone (6), and face Onyx Lord for Onyx Lord’s Greatsword. This tunnel leads to Divine Tower of West Altus.

Return to the Outer Wall Phantom Tree site, head North. Fight a Gargoyle or proceed to find another Golden Seed and Palm Reader. Nearby, defeat Margitt for Viridian Amber Medallion +1. Activate the Outer Wall Battleground site.

Turn eastward, then head further east. Northward detour leads to Hermit Merchant’s Shack, with merchants and nighttime invasions. Continue east, pass the Winged Crystal Tear altar, then visit Minor Erdtree for loots.

Go south to a moat, meet Blackguard Big Boggart if you’ve talked to the merchant in Liurnia. Get Boiled Crab from Boggart. Encounter Dung Eater invasion here.

Travel east, the road splits north and south. South, face Auriza Hero’s Grave; north, find Auriza Side Tomb for Soldjars of Fortune Ashes and more loot.

Return to the Minor Erdtree, then follow the higher east path to face Draconic Tree Sentinel for rewards and access to Leyndell’s Legacy Dungeon.

The legacy dungeon is tough; prepare well. Enter Leyndell, defeat Godfrey, and Morgott, then proceed to Forbidden Lands.

Near East Capital Rampart Site, meet Boc, give him items for his quest. Choose to help him be reborn or not. Get Golden Order Principia near Erdtree Sanctuary and learn Law of Regression. Report findings to Goldmask.

After defeating Morgott, speak to him, then find Nepheli, Kenneth, and Gostoc for rewards. Dung Eater starts a quest; interact with him and Roderika.

Later, Leyndell allows access to Subterranean Shunning-Grounds, important for Dung Eater and Hyetta’s quests.

Forbidden Lands

Follow the road east and north to Fire Monk enemies. Complete Giants’ Mountaintop Catacombs for rewards. Continue north past an Archer Golem to Ancient Snow Valley Ruins. Travel the canyon floor north, then head east to loot a Golden Seed. Explore Shack of the Lofty for the Traveling Maiden Set and a possible fight with Juno Hoslow.

To the south, take the spirit spring to Stargazer’s Ruins for Primal Glintstone Blade. Talk to Brother Corhyn before crossing the narrow bridge southeast. Defeat the Erdtree Avatar, loot items, then take the northern bridge to Snow Valley Ruins Overlook.

Travel east to Freezing Lake, then ascend to Heretical Rise for Founding Rain of Stars. Descend to the lake, visit First Church of Marika for items. Optionally fight the dragon or explore Spiritcaller Cave for rewards.

Head south to Whiteridge Road for Lord Contender’s Evergaol or Guardian’s Garrison. Cross a frozen chain to Giant’s Gravepost for looting.

Follow the cliff edge west to Giant-Conquering Hero’s Grave for valuable items. Teleport back and head south toward Church of Repose, defeating Okina for loot. Explore the area for more items.

Follow eastern cliffs north to Foot of the Forge for the Fire Giant boss fight. Loot nearby items before engaging. Optionally complete Castle Sol, challenging Commander Niall for an important item.

Once done, choose to defeat Fire Giant and proceed to Consecrated Snowfield, or ignore Fire Giant and go directly to Consecrated Snowfield. This choice maintains the story flow better.

Upon arrival, navigate through the snowstorm to Apostate Derelict, following Latenna’s guidance. Before that, unlock the first site of grace to the north and collect items along the barely visible road.

Proceed west into the storm to Consecrated Snowfield Catacombs, where defeating the boss yields useful materials and items. Explore further west to find traveling caravans of enemies and additional loot.

Continue west to Yelough Anix Ruins for more loot and a challenging boss fight. Afterward, head north along the cliffs to encounter Rune Bears and an invasion by Sanguine Noble.

Return to Inner Consecrated Snowfield site of grace and explore surrounding areas for more loot and challenges. Head south to Ordina, Liturgical Town for a Golden Seed and Map (Consecrated Snowfield).

Explore optional locations like Cave of the Forlorn before returning to Ordina to complete quests and loot.

Complete the Evergaol event in Ordina by lighting four candles strategically placed throughout the town.

Once completed, access Miquella’s Haligtree through the gateway atop the northern staircase.

Mohgwyn Palace

If you’ve been following Varre’s quest, you may have the Pureblood Knight’s Medal, allowing early teleportation to Mohgwyn Palace. However, it’s risky due to tough enemies. Wait until reaching Consecrated Snowfield before tackling the area. Take the waygate in Consecrated Snowfield to caves southeast of Mohgwyn Palace. Follow the linear path to Palace Approach Ledge-Road Site of Grace.

Head northwest, dodging Albinaurics, and grab a Smithing Stone (6). Reach the blood lake of Mohgwyn Palace. To get the map fragment, go north-northwest, defeat or evade Albinaurics, and find the Map (Mohgwyn Palace) near ruins. Head upstairs for Dynasty Mausoleum Entrance Site of Grace.

With the map, explore easier. Invade by three Nameless White Masks in eastern lake; defeat them for War Surgeon Set. In southern lake, find Haligdrake Talisman (+2), Golden Seed, and Nomadic Warrior’s Cookbook (24). In the northern lake and caves, find Ash of War: Blood Tax, Swarm of Flies Incantation, and upgrade materials.

Return to Dynasty Mausoleum Site of Grace, encounter Putrid Corpses. Follow path, grab Smithing Stone (7), Numen’s Rune, and Stonesword Key. Find group praising in front of dark doorway. Enter cave, watch for Sanguine Nobles ambush. At first split, go south for Imprisoned Merchant.

Head north for Lord’s Rune. Northeast, find ledge with Great Ghost Glovewort. Head west, encounter Sanguine Noble, grab Smithing Stone (8) and Ghost Glovewort (9). Reach Dynasty Mausoleum Midpoint Site of Grace. Meet Varre before the midpoint; get Festering Bloody Fingers and Varre’s Bouquet.

Face Albinaurics and Sanguine Noble, grab Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone near statue. Find Stonesword Key behind statue. Take lift northwest to ruined temple. Cutscene starts fight against Mohg, Lord of Blood. Defeat him for Remembrance of the Blood Lord and Mohg’s Great Rune. Cocoon of the Empyrean Site of Grace spawns after defeat.

This section covers Miquella’s Haligtree. Completing Crumbling Farum Azula before tackling Miquella’s Haligtree is possible but changes the game world and gives access to an endgame area. Miquella’s Haligtree consists of two main parts: the tree canopy area and the walled structure within the Haligtree, Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. Upon being transported to the tree’s canopy from Ordina, Liturgical Town, proceed northeast. Though navigation is tricky due to branching paths, exploring yields valuable loot such as Stonesword Keys, Prattling Pate “My Beloved,” Envoy Crown, Lost Ashes of War, and Oracle Envoy Ashes. Beware of the powerful Oracle Envoys with long-ranged, homing attacks.

After passing a giant Oracle Envoy and descending a ladder on the left side of a wide tree branch, you’ll reach the Haligree Town Site of Grace. From here, the path becomes clearer and enemies less formidable. Descend the stairs and before the final flight, ascend a ladder on the left to find the Pearldrake Talisman (+2). Progress past adversaries to the Haligtree Town Plaza Site of Grace.

Heading south from the plaza leads to roofs occupied by Lesser Spirit-Caller Snails. Descend to find a chest with the Viridian Amber Medallion (+2). Proceeding south and jumping down to the next platform reveals the way forward. Ascend a ladder to confront mushroom-infested zombies. Further progress leads to a gazebo guarded by Battlemages. Overcoming them grants access to a shortcut back to the Haligtree Town Site of Grace.

Crossing another bridge brings you to a large promenade where you encounter Loretta, Knight of the Haligtree. Defeating her rewards Loretta’s Mastery and her weapon, Loretta’s War Sickle. Interaction with the Haligtree Promenade Site of Grace and proceeding north leads to an elevator descending to Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree.

Elphael introduces different enemies and scenery. Cross a bridge guarded by a Cleanrot Knight to reach the Prayer Room Site of Grace. Millicent can be found here after speaking to her in Dominula, Windmill Village.

Explore various paths in Elphael to progress. Notable items include Marika’s Soreseal, Triple Rings of Light Incantation, Miquellan Knight’s Sword, Haligtree Soldier Ashes, Cleanrot Knight Finlay Ashes, and Seedbed Curses. Eventually, confront an Erdtree Avatar in a courtyard. Defeat it to access the Elphael Inner Wall Site of Grace. Proceed through a doorway and climb tree roots to a cliffside with a waterfall. Cross the water and either ascend the hill or enter a doorway to the right.

Continuing up the hill leads to a secluded lake where defeating an Lesser Ulcerated Tree Spirit yields a Golden Seed. Completing Millicent’s questline here offers different rewards based on choices made. Returning to the Drainage Channel Site of Grace, follow outside support beams to reach a roof. Descend into a building to find the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman. Navigate the courtyard for additional items or proceed through a southwestern door to a lift.

Inside, find Melina’s Set and activate a shortcut at the bell tower. Interact with the Haligtree Roots Site of Grace and challenge Malenia, Blade of Miquella. After defeating her, interact with the Malenia, Goddess of Rot Site of Grace. Optionally, return the Unalloyed Gold Needle to receive Miquella’s Needle and finish Dung Eater’s questline at the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds to unlock an alternate ending.

Crumbling Farum Azula

If you haven’t yet, go to the Foot of the Forge Site of Grace to battle the Fire Giant. You can summon Iron Fist Alexander for help and receive extra dialogue for later encounters. Upon defeating the Giant, you obtain the Remembrance of the Fire Giant. Proceed east up the mountain to reach the Forge of the Giants Site of Grace. Interact with Melina to teleport to Crumbling Farum Azula. If you’ve met the Three Fingers at the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds, choose the ‘Listen to the sound of flames’ option at the Site of Grace.

Crumbling Farum Azula is vast and easy to lose your way in. For item locations and navigation tips, refer to the Crumbling Farum Azula Walkthrough. Cross the bridge upon arrival to find a Smithing Stone (8) at the end. Descend the path to a platform overlooking Azula Beastmen and a building. Enter the building and use the first doorway on your left to access the Crumbling Beast Grave Site of Grace.

Exit the room and proceed to a makeshift bridge outside. Midway, a Farum Azula Dragon attacks. You can run past it to reach the Crumbling Beast Grave Depths Site of Grace. Along the way, collect a Smithing Stone (6) and (8). In the next room, defeat two Azula Beastmen and find a Smithing Stone (7) on an altar.

Continue northwest to a three-way split. Go straight ahead and through the doorway on your left to find a Golden Rune (12) and a path to higher ground. Descend to find more Azula Beastmen and the Ancient Dragon Prayerbook. Proceed to the Temple-Facing Balcony Site of Grace outside.

For extra loot, exit the building through the southwestern door. Find a hidden corpse with a Hero’s Rune (2) and descend a lift to face Lesser Wormface. Collect a Smithing Stone (8) and (9) before returning to the Temple-Facing Balcony Site of Grace.

Follow floating rocks west to a large ruin chunk with Skeletons. Obtain the Somber Smithing Stone (7) and jump to another ruin chunk. Enter a hole in the corner and head northeast. Find a Great Ghost Glovewort guarded by Skeletons. Return to the starting chunk, pick up a Somber Smithing Stone (9), and reach the Dragon Temple Site of Grace.

Turn around to locate stairs to jump down. Inside the building, retrieve the Azula Beastman Ashes. Teleport back and enter the Dragon Temple, wary of formidable knights. Find a Smithing Stone (6) and a Stonesword Key before descending to a large room.

Defeat the Godskin Duo for rewards and access to the Dragon Temple Altar Site of Grace. Exit southeast to find the Dragon Temple Transept Site of Grace. Head northeast, defeat enemies, and loot the area. Jump down to a courtyard with Skeletons. Find the Lord’s Rune in the fountain and continue forward for more loot.

Proceed southwest to find a temple with the Beside the Great Bridge Site of Grace elevator. Inside, defeat Azula Beastmen and use the elevator to reach the Beside the Great Bridge Site of Grace. Head north to encounter Dragonlord Placidusax. Defeat it for the Remembrance of the Dragonlord and teleport back.

Return to the bridge, go south, and face a Draconic Tree Sentinel. Defeat it for the Malformed Dragon Set. Continue up collecting a Somber Smithing Stone (7), and enter the fog door.

Important: Defeating the boss ahead causes irreversible changes until NG+. Complete any NPC quests and gather achievement items in Leyndell, Royal Capital, before proceeding.

Fight the Beast Clergyman and Maliketh, the Black Blade. Upon defeat, you’ll receive the Remembrance of the Black Blade and return to a changed Leyndell. Interact with the Maliketh, the Black Blade Site of Grace if you return to the boss area.

If you skipped Miquella’s Haligtree, return to that section.

Leyndell, Ashen Capital

• Explore the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds

After defeating Maliketh at Crumbling Farum Azula, a cutscene will play, and you’ll be teleported back to Leyndell, now in a different state. Interact with the nearby Leyndell, Capital of Ash Site of Grace. Upon returning to Roundtable Hold, notice significant changes. Speak to Roderika and Hewg for new dialogue.

Return to Jarburg and hand over Alexander’s Innards to Jar Bairn. Exhaust his dialogue, then reload the area. You’ll find the Companion Jar where Jar Bairn was, and Hoslow’s Petal Whip and Diallos’s Mask where Diallos was.

From the Leyndell, Capital of Ash Site of Grace, find the sewer hole southwest on the ruined road to access Subterranean Shunning-Grounds. Clear it before proceeding in the Ashen Capital. Afterward, teleport back to the Site of Grace, head south to find a corpse with a Rune Arc. Nearby, discover corpses holding a Tarnished Golden Sunflower and a Golden Sunflower. Head southwest to find a set of stairs.

To the west, find Leyndell’s ruined walls with an illusory tree marking a Golden Seed. Head down the stairs north, then northwest to find a Valiant Gargoyle. Check behind the wall for a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.

For the Brother Corhyn questline, locate an ash-covered slope near the curved staircase. Find a Smithing Stone (6) across a large tree branch. Head east along the cliff to find Goldmask, receiving the Mending Rune of Perfect Order. Corhyn sits by a giant dead dragon on the southwestern side of the capital. Reload the area for Corhyn’s Robe and Corhyn’s Bell Bearing.

Backtrack to the staircase, take the lift up. Encounter Sir Gideon Ofnir, defeat him for the All-Knowing Set and the Scepter of the All-Knowing.

Interact with the Erdtree Sanctuary Site of Grace, head east to the main balcony. Scale the tree root west, find the Queen’s Bedchambers, and acquire the Erdtree Heal incantation.

Continue east, encounter Godfrey behind a fog door. After defeating him, he transforms into Hoarah Loux, Warrior, defeating whom grants the Remembrance of Hoarah Loux.

Interact with the Elden Throne Site of Grace, head southeast upstairs. Touch the golden light to teleport to Radagon of the Golden Order, then defeat the Elden Beast to receive the Elden Remembrance and interact with Fractured Marika, ending the game.

Subterranean Shunning-Grounds

The Subterranean Shunning-Grounds lies beneath Leyndell city, featuring maze-like sewers without a map. This guide focuses on key items and NPC interactions to ease navigation. It’s advisable to tackle this area later due to tough monsters.

In Leyndell Royal Capital, exit the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace, drop down the well under the large dragon wing to find a Rune Arc. Proceed to a platform overseeing the ‘main hallway’. In endgame Leyndell, head southwest from the first Site of Grace to find a road with a hole. Drop down to a wooden beam for Crimson Amber Medallion (+2).

Referred to as the main hallway, it serves as a central hub with shortcuts. Beware of patrolling Ogres. Head northeast to find the Underground Roadside Site of Grace. Further northeast, loot Bloodsoaked Mask and Bloodsoaked Manchettes, then backtrack southwest to locate a ladder.

Navigate pipes, watching for Imps on higher ledges. Collect Somber Smithing Stone (6) to the right, then ascend to find Smithing Stone (7) and a doorway. Grab Shadow Bait Incantation, opening a shortcut. Head south, descend a ladder, bypassing Imps. Deal with Giant Lobsters, loot items, and reach Leyndell Catacombs Site of Grace.

Head upstairs for Haligdrake Talisman (+1) and Spirit-Caller Snail. Alternatively, rush upstairs, pull a lever for a shortcut. Return to the catacombs, loot Ghost Glovewort (6). Ascend circular platforms to face Ogre for Crucible Scale Talisman. Descend, deal with Ogre for Grave Glovewort (9). Proceed for Grave Glovewort (8) and Golden Rune (11), then pull lever for a shortcut.

Return to Leyndell Catacombs, descend stairs for Ghost Glovewort (6). Reach flooded room for Ghost Glovewort (7). Climb circular platform, face Ogre for Crucible Scale Talisman. Descend, loot Grave Glovewort (8), then proceed for Ghost Glovewort (8) and Golden Rune (11). Pull lever for shortcut.

Return to Leyndell Catacombs, descend stairs for Ghost Glovewort (6). Head downstairs, loot Glass Shard, navigate tunnels infested with Slugs. Ascend ladder for another shortcut. Aggro Ogres, flee through narrow doorway, loot items, descend stairway for more loot. Head into narrow tunnels, deal with Basilisks, loot, then ascend for more loot.

Head back to wooden bridge, follow pipe up and left. Jump to scaffolding, enter room, jump down to pipe opening. Navigate tunnels, deal with Giant Rats, and loot. Reach ladder for Ritual Pot. Take lift to Forsaken Depths Site of Grace, then face Mohg, the Omen for rewards. Attack altar for secret passage leading to the ending.

Endings

There are five NPC questlines leading to different endings: Ranni, Fia, Brother Corhyn, Dung Eater, and the Three Fingers, though they lack an individual questline. Interacting with Fractured Marika after defeating the Elden Best allows you to choose which Mending Rune to mend the Elden Ring with, determining the ending. For detailed explanations, visit the Endings page.

Engaging with the Three Fingers in the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds leads to the “Lord of Frenzied Flame” ending. This choice locks you out of other endings. To access them, obtain the Unalloyed Gold Needle from Commander O’Neil, repair it with Gowry, and use Miquella’s Needle to remove the Flame of Frenzy.

Completing Ranni’s questline and using the Dark Moon Ring in the Cathedral of Manus Celes grants the “Age of the Stars” ending. Interact with Ranni’s summon sign after defeating the Elden Beast.

Fia’s questline yields the “Age of the Duskborn” ending. After defeating Lichdragon Fortissax, use the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince found on her body.

Brother Corhyn/Goldmask’s questline offers the “Age of Order” ending. Find Goldmask in Leyndell, Ashen Capital, and loot the Mending Rune of Perfect Order from his body.

Completing the Dung Eater’s questline results in the “Blessing of Despair” ending. Give him five Seedbed Curses and loot the Mending Rune of the Fell Curse from his body.

If you haven’t completed any NPC questlines or prefer the default ending, choose “Mend the Elden Ring” when interacting with Fractured Marika.
