Garden Life: A Cozy Simulator – How to Manage the Seed/Plant Storage System

While this doesn’t remove the fact the storage system is unwieldy, there’s a few things to make it a bit more manageable.

Tips on Managing the Seed/Plant Storage System

Note, I only sort my stuff by if they’re a seed or if they’re a cutting/leaves because it’s impossible to sort at any finer detail without wasting several days and that is not worth it at this point.

  1. Leave the first drawer empty at least.

As you may have noticed by now if you fill up your bag slots, the game will start shoving all your clippings into the first available empty space. To prevent everything from being all over the place, leave the first drawer empty so it dumps it all in there and you can sort it out later. If you believe you have a lot of plants/seeds coming in, maybe leave the first two drawers open.

  1. If you put away an item in a full drawer it’ll stack that item if it exists already in the storage, or put it in the first open slot. And these acts have their own distinct sound.

If you go to a full drawer and start putting away items you’re holding, you can tell by sound if it added itself to an existing stack or if it added itself to an open slot. The sound of stacking sounds like a dull thud while the sound of it being put away into an open slot is sharper. And if you have left your first drawer empty you know exactly where the new stack was put away to.

  1. Sometimes it is faster to exit the storage and go back in if you’re several drawers deep.

This one goes without saying, if I have grabbed a bunch of stuff from my first drawer to put away and I need to get back to my first drawer, it’s just faster to exit storage and get back in.

I hope this helps, I know the storage system is unwieldy, and I personally would like an auto sort, but at least hopefully you’re not spending the whole day sorting through and finding stuff.
