Ob Nixilis Deck

So here I have an Ob Nixilis deck that is centered around Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin and All Will Be One.

These two cards can create an infinite combo ( an infinite combo is a setup that allows a player to keep playing the same cards forever in a single turn) By having both of these cards on the battlefield all you would need to do is deal exactly one damage or place a counter on something (for example, adding a counter to Ob Nixilis, The Adversary or adding a counter to Blast Zone) which then starts the Infinite Combo.

  • 2 Swamp
  • 3 Mountain

Sideboard

  • 2 Reckoner Bankbuster
  • 1 Duress
  • 2 Duress
  • 1 Duress
  • 1 Soul Transfer
  • 1 Sheoldred, the Apocalypse

Ninjutsu Deck

Next I have a Ninjutsu Deck I created.

This deck is centered around Satoru Umezawa.

What is Ninjutsu? It basically allows you to swap an attacking creature with a creature with ninjutsu from your hand. Since Satoru Umezawa gives all creature cards in your hand ninjutsu you can swap an attacking creature for a high cost card (my favorite one, Emrakul, the Promised End).

Deck

  • 2 Satoru Umezawa
  • 11 Swamp
  • 11 Island
  • 3 Silver-Fur Master
  • 4 Ornithopter
  • 1 A-Thousand-Faced Shadow
  • 1 Kotose, the Silent Spider
  • 3 Ingenious Infiltrator
  • 3 A-Prosperous Thief
  • 1 Swarm Saboteur
  • 3 Mukotai Ambusher
  • 1 A-Baleful Beholder
  • 1 Lord Xander, the Collector
  • 1 Goro-Goro and Satoru
  • 4 Fatal Push
  • 4 Changeling Outcast
  • 1 Zareth San, the Trickster
  • 2 Dokuchi Shadow-Walker
  • 1 A-Nezumi Prowler
  • 3 Emrakul, the Promised End
  • 1 Atraxa, Grand Unifier
  • 1 Kaito, Dancing Shadow
  • 1 Terisian Mindbreaker

Mill Deck

Lastly I have a Mill Deck. What is Mill? A player puts the top card of their library into their graveyard

This Deck is pretty simple, just make the opponent run out of cards. The best combo in this deck is Maddening Cacophany and Bruvac the Grandiloquent.

So pretty simple, have Bruvac the Grandiloquent on the battlefield cast Maddening Cacophany for its kicker cost and the opponent basically discards their whole deck.

Deck

  • 20 Island
  • 4 Ruin Crab
  • 4 Bruvac the Grandiloquent
  • 4 Psychic Corrosion
  • 4 Compelling Argument
  • 4 Teferi’s Tutelage
  • 4 Maddening Cacophony
  • 4 Ghost Quarter
  • 4 Frogify
  • 4 Frantic Inventory
  • 4 Merfolk Secretkeeper

  1. I really hate it when WOTC designs and then publishes cards like this because it defines the game meta such that it makes removal spells essential for your victory and anything else is inadequate. I think it narrows the styles of gameplay that people choose to play MTG, there could be a variety of different strategies that don’t involve permanent elimination but since combos like Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin and All Will Be One exist that makes permanent elimination necessary. Does WOTC not playtest their cards before publishing? Personally I think you shouldn’t rely on arbitrary card bans to stir-up a format to force players to invent new strategies and play different cards.

  2. Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin and All Will Be One is a busted-ass combo that needs to be fixed, an infinite loop that does not terminate could be considered a bug if this were a computer program and it is totally NOT FAIR to some decks that don’t have any permanent removal spells. KILL ON SIGHT!
