Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Vol. 2 – Bonus Panels and What They Offer!

A guide to the short term and long term benefits of Bonus Panels in liberation missions, as well as Liberation Mission end rewards.

Bonus panels are a Mega Man Battle Network 5 exclusive feature of Liberation Missions.

Liberating a bonus panel does not take up a turn for any navi, and have a variety of effects. It starts a roulette where you must stop on one of five results. Most have short term benefits for the liberation mission, but one of the five results grants chip data to be used at a later time. This guide will go over every benefit, as well as a list of every chip you can get out of a bonus panel in their respective Liberation Mission.

Recovery

When you stop the roulette on a recovery heart, all navis on your team recover a certain amount of health. It can be quite a boon to receive when you are thinking about passing a turn with a navi mid mission.

Invincibility

Invincibility makes your navis invulnerable for a turn. If you go into battle with a navi benefiting from this bonus, the invulnerability lasts roughly one round where the custom gauge fills at a normal rate before wearing off. The invulnerability wears off after battle, but if a navi doesn’t battle for a turn, they are immune to a darkloid’s attack, even if they suffer more than one from a virus and a boss. Viruses and bosses don’t differentiate between navis invulnerable, so you can bait them easily.

Major Hit

Major hits deal massive damage to bosses or deletes on board viruses, depending on what is closest. The amount of damage done to a boss varies from mission to mission, ever increasing as you go along, but remember that bosses will recover a certain amount of HP on their turn, and viruses will regenerate unless the Dark Hole is closed. Viruses that regenerate from Dark Holes can’t attack the same turn, however…

Order Points

Your navi’s liberation mission abilities must be powered by order points, so getting this result is one of the more worthwhile ones in the short term. Landing on this will grant you 5 out of a maximum of 8 order points to command your team with, making it one of two results you really hope for out of the five.

Chip

This is the final result in the roulette, and the one you may want to revisit missions to grind for. Landing on this result adds a single battlechip to your pack. As you can’t edit your folder during a liberation mission, it’s a more long term benefit to the others, but some of the chips on offer here can be difficult to get through other means, and may be received at a much earlier point. The rest of this guide will go over what chips can be obtained through bonus panels in what missions.
