Useful Tips and Hints
Basic Gameplay Tips
- Customize Your Controls: If you’re using a mouse with side buttons, assign the roll function to a side button. It eases the strain on your left hand.
- Stick with Your Team: Team up with your buddies! It reduces the chances of getting ganged up on. Plus, you might get a chance to chug a potion while your pals distract the enemies.
- Keep an Eye on Your Health: Don’t forget to check your health bar. It’s easy to get caught up in the action and forget to heal, leading to an untimely demise.
- Use Skills Cards Wisely: Skills cards can be a game-changer. Grab the green one for healing and the purple one for reducing skill cooldowns. Use them strategically during combat. Also, stacking the same card can extend its effect duration.
- Special Moves for the Win: Some special moves can restore your armor, acting like a heal in crucial moments.
Teamwork Tips
- Communicate: Keep your teammates informed about enemy movements and your skills cards.
- Team Healing: Try to grab potions that heal the whole team and keep an eye on everyone’s health during fights.
Playing as Dabi
Character Recommendation: I started with Dabi and reached pro rank 1. Later, I switched to Iida and hit pro rank 4. Dabi may not be the strongest, but he’s great for beginners.
Understanding Dabi’s Skills: His alpha ability auto-tracks enemies, making it ideal for players who struggle with aiming. Beta sets traps quickly, unlike Momo’s cannon. Gamma creates a defensive wall.
Playing Strategies:
- Dabi shines indoors, where he can trap enemies in narrow spaces.
- His wall can’t defend against aerial attacks, so he’s not the best for outdoor fights.
- Always set traps, even when not in combat, to be ready for surprise encounters.
- Stay on the outskirts of team fights, moving and setting traps while firing alpha.
- Roll away when enemies approach, and keep your distance while using traps and alpha.
- Use gamma to block incoming attacks.
- In the fire zone map, create a safe house by trapping all entrances. It’s a great spot for healing and regrouping.
- Setting traps on downed enemies can quickly eliminate them.
- Watch out for tough opponents like Kirishima, Iida, and Floppy Disk.
Final Thoughts
I recommend having a blast with Dabi in unranked games first. Ranked matches can be tough for beginners, as you might face off against some top-tier players. So, get some practice in before jumping into the ranked scene!
