Difficulty
Can you change the difficulty of an already created kingdom?
You need to create a new realm to change the difficulty. It’s possible to artificially increase the difficulty with certain minor realm cards.
Will the difficult will keep increasing?
Each realm has a “realm power” number associated with it. The higher the number, the more dangerous and challenging it is – you’ll encounter new enemies, they do more damage, and they have more health. There will be a few ways to increase or decrease the difficulty of the Realm. The Realms that you’ll encounter in Early Access are just the beginning of the sorts of places devs want to take you.
Gameplay
How does the Elder Eoten spawn?
Looks like a tree. If you got to a Forest Hunt realm, get the spell Legendary hunt. Use it and it will send a wisp that you just have to follow and it will lead you to the Elder Eoten.
It’s an Alpha creature, so it will be priotized over fabled.
How can I get back to my main realm?
If you have your respawn point in your main realm, go to your map and press travel to respite.
Can existing boxes be used as storage?
We used them as temp storage and transferring split stacks. Didn’t leave anything for more than a few hours.
When you get to the shelf building stage, they work great with baskets. Will stack 5(?) in a tight space. Much less floor space then the chests. Very little trouble finessing the placement.
Where to find corals?
They are underwater off the shore, I know in the forest maybe other biomes and you can also buy them at the essence trader.
How to get Etched Alloy ingot?
On the Brazer, you can make Etched ingot, and you can make alloy ingot with copper and tin/zink.
According to the name, it should be asking for Etched brass or bronze:
How to water my planter boxes?
Buy the watering can schematic from essence dealer. Craft it. Fill it up in a river or see with right click. Water with left click.
How to find heartshot on target?
Heart shots are easy when you know where you need to aim. Try to approach the target from the side and aim for the top half of the front shoulder. Aiming for the chest head on will at best get you a headshot
How to unlock the Antiquarian card?
After you defeat the first temple you get it. Head to the essence trade and should be above them in the red door.
How to fish?
If you let the tension bar go all the way up, you’ll lose the fish. I’ve found that if you follow the right/left pattern of the fish with the tip of the fishing pole, that should keep the tension down.
Also, if I let my stamina run out while reeling, I lost the fish then as well.
How to give my friend Manor address card？
You can just drop the card on the ground after you make it and they can pick it up and use it.
How to split object stacks?
Shift drag from (maybe to) a container will split. If you are building a building, place all your blueprints and you can dump materials in from any spot on the structure.
How to cut a tree faster?
You can cut a tree faster if you attack the tree than block and punch again, so you dont have a animation.
Unable to drop items out of my inventory
You can only drop items after the tutorial.
How to move my base?
If you hit X (on keyboard) it takes you to edit mode, you can relocate the cairn from there.
How to share quest progression with friend?
Currently progression is character based.
How to make a recruit use a certain tool?
Right click on the axe in her inventory and select equip, they don’t automatically use things you give them.
Troubleshooting
Controller input lag
If you play on a controller and it feels a bit “laggy” and your on steam, disable the steam controller input and this fixes it perfectly.
Cannot join friends
The solution we have found is, In Steam contacts list, instead of right click on your friend profile and invite them to Join The Game.
She simply clicked Invite to Play. In the steam message box, I received an invitation to play the game, I clicked it, and In Game, it created a group with her, and I could invite her to join in my game. And it worked.
Can’t run / sprint
Had a friend yesterday who couldn’t sprint. Sprinting started working after disconnecting their controller.
How to pause the game?
There is not currently any way to pause this game, I find it pretty easy to find a safe spot to stand while I go do somthing else for a little bit, as long as hunger doesn’t get you lol.
How do I party up with other players? / I can’t find my friend in the game search
To party up with other players in game, all parties must complete the tutorial Realms and talk to Puck in the Abeyance Realm before you can play together.
Once this is complete, there are two ways to party up:
- Try searching for the other player’s character name from the “P” menu
- Please note that there can be a few minutes delay after completing the quest
- Ensure that you are spelling your friend’s character name correctly (not Steam/Epic ID)
- Both you and your friend try logging out and back in
- If both you and your friend are on the same game platform (ex. Steam), you can invite your friends from the game platform friend menu
Additional things to check:
- Open the Party Menu (default key ‘P’)
- Ensure party invites are set to “Public”
- You can also check this setting in the Options Menu under “Gameplay” (you may have to scroll down to see this option)
Once you’re both in a party, open the party menu (default key ‘P’) and you can invite them to the Realm that you currently reside in.
If you and your friend want to share a Respite Realm (home/spawn Realm), you can both build an Estate Cairn and set it as your Respite Point.
You can repeat this step as many times as you would like, but please note there is a limit of 6 people per party, and 6 people can load into a Realm at the same time.
General
Where do I redeem the Twitch Drops in the game?
If you have successfully linked your account and your Twitch Drops inventory says you’ve completed the watch time for your items:
- Open the game
- Create a character and complete the tutorial Realms and talk to Puck in the Abeyance Realm (or load into an existing character that has completed these steps)
- Open the menu using Esc
- Navigate to “System” in the top menu
- Click on “Rewards”
The following items will be put in your inventory:
- Umbrella
- Outfit pieces (hat, gloves, jacket, pants, shoes, dress)
The following will be presented as recipes in your crafting menu:
- Umbrella
- Outfit pieces
- Dog bed (build to spawn the dog in your Realm)
Notes:
- Currently there is a limit to one dog per Realm.
- If you accidentally extract your items, you can craft new ones using the recipes
- If you destroy your dog bed, you can re-spawn the dog by building another pet bed
I’m watching Twitch streams but the watch time is not increasing or stuck!
If your Twitch Drop progress doesn’t seem to be progressing, try the following:
- Keep the stream tab actively selected
- Do not mute the stream
- Ensure that the streamer is listed under https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/nightingale-1 as some are streaming under the wrong category
I made a pet bed but there’s no dog!
Currently only one pet will spawn in a Realm, and it will spawn only to the first completed pet bed. If you have multiple party members on your server and yours is not spawning, ask them if they have already built a pet bed.
If you want to move the pet to a new location, you can:
- Build a new bed and destroy the previous one, the dog should automatically relocate to the second bed.
- Destroy the bed that they’re located in and build a new one somewhere else.
If you continue to have issues with the dog appearing in your Realm:
- Go to the Realm where you are attempting to spawn your dog.
- Press F2 to open the debug screen
- Screenshot the screen
- Click “Submit a request” in the top right of this screen
- Submit a ticket with your F2 menu screenshot
I extracted my Twitch Drop equipment, how do I get it back?
If you extracted you Twitch Drop equipment, you can create new Twitch Drop items at workbenches such as the Simple Workbench.
I can see the Twitch Drops recipes, but I can’t craft them
If you can see the Twitch Drops recipe, but cannot craft the items:
- Check if you have “Show All Recipes” enabled, as this shows invalid recipes.
- Check your account to make sure you unlocked the recipes.
- Ensure you have all the correct materials.
How do Estate Cairns work?
Estate Cairns are the way you set your Respite Point. You can think of these as your home Realm that you will always be able to travel to from the map menu.
This is where you should establish your Estate, as it’s the safest haven.
Please note you can only have one Respite Realm per character, and if you change your Respite point to a new Realm, you may lose access to the previous one. We’d only recommend it if you’re ready to say goodbye to the previous one.
Multiple characters can set the same Realm as their Respite Realm with Estate Cairns, and anyone who has access to the Realm can start the Realm regardless of who else is online.
