Palworld – Bypassing Bugs: Play without Hassles

The game recently hit early access, and like always, there are some bugs. Check out the workarounds my friends and I have figured out.

Finding Your Dedicated Server in the Server List

Сrеdit gоеs to ThePawlow !

This section is only about your dedicated server

To play with friends, you have two common options:

  • Host a 4-player coop
  • Set up your 32-player dedicated server.

Problem

The server list is currently overloaded, so alternatively, you can use Direct Connect.

However, if you put a password on your server, using Direct Connect becomes impossible because there’s no input prompt available. Resulting in “No Password has been entered”

Solution

Once your dedicated Server is running

  1. Join it without a password using direct connect.
  2. Exit again.
  3. Locate your Server in the “Recent Servers” Tab.
  4. Assign a password to the Server and restart it.
  5. Relocate your Server in the “Recent Servers” Tab and join it.

You now should be prompted to put in a password.

Pals Not Doing Their Work

Pals currently choose their work based on their profession automatically.

Problem

Sometimes they freeze and be sleeping 24/7, which is relatable. Yet they should be working from time to time.

Solution

  1. Go the Pal Console
  2. Take the active Pal out and store it
  3. Reassign it will respawn this way.

Building Roofs without Support Beams

The construction mechanism is straight forward.

If you want to build roofs though, it can be a bit complicated at first.

Problem

The game complains that there is no snapping point to build to roof on.

Solution

This temporarily wastes resources, but you can deconstruct it afterwards.

Build Up

This consist out of 2x Wall and 1x Half Slope.

Build Roof

Now you’re good to go, build the roof looking at the slope.

Remove Support

Once you build the roof, remove the support at the buttom part.
