Puzzle 2: The Shift Cipher

The decoded string is still not readable. A second step is required. The clue is somewhere in the kit Camille shared.

Solution: Open the Voss business card in any image editor (Photoshop, GIMP, or even your phone’s photo editor) and increase the brightness and contrast. Four Roman numerals appear hidden in the corners of the dark border. Reading clockwise from the top left: V, IV, II, VIII, with the bottom-left numeral underscored, indicating a negative value. The four shift values are: +5, +4, +2, −8. Apply them as a repeating key to the intermediate result, cycling through for each letter.
