Spirit Hunters: Infinite Horde – Lunar Caverns Brutal Challenge Tips

Tips for Lunar Caverns Brutal Challenge

Сrеdit gоеs to cathartic!

If you’ve attempted this level a few times, you might have faced some challenges. It can feel impossible at first, especially when you’re trying to reach the end boss. The boss seems to take hardly any damage, and you gradually succumb to attrition. Searching for tips from others might not yield much, but don’t worry—I’ve figured out a method that works.

When you’re playing as Hugo, with Tornado as your starting weapon and additional weapons like Cleave, Shadow Shuriken, and Shock, there’s a strategy that can turn things around.

Here’s what you need to do: instead of focusing solely on survival, adopt a more aggressive approach. The level is packed with chests, so run around and open as many as you can. Don’t worry too much about taking damage; you can use the hearts from the chests to heal yourself. You only have 10 minutes to scale up before facing the end boss, so make sure to farm those chests hard. Ignore the mining nodes—they’re not necessary at this point.

When you’re overwhelmed by enemies, don’t hesitate to use your ultimate ability.

Now, let’s talk about the end boss. Once again, an aggressive approach is key. Play inside the circle of adds, firing outwards. This ensures that when they die, in the brief moments when the boss is vulnerable, you can deal as much damage as possible. Aim to deal 10k damage each phase. It’s challenging, but you can do it.

  1. I cant even explore past the south of africa before 1498 with a golden age. I have a colony in Luanda and when I try to find Comoros it tell me “our colonization range doesnt allow us to explore this yet”….. wtf?

    • Nevermind I didt it!!!! You have to do things a little different with the new dlc’s. You have to settle close to Kilwa and own all of the provinces in Mozambique to unlock the horn of africa.

  2. You dont need the golden age, or to invade Granada. Just NO CB Jolof, wait till you have exploration level 3, the first colony should be the province just north of Kongo, I even delayed my first colony till i got Exploration 3 because it would be better to start at a farther colony 1-2 years later then, wait out the 6-10 years for a colony to finish. I set my Native Focus to Hostile to increase Settler Growth, from there I just kept on leveling admin/dip till I got Expansion idea, kept exploring east, sometimes waiting between colonies for my range to increase, once again better to wait 2 year then 6 for a colony to finish. Got it in 1487 without even really trying.

  3. I had a (now obsolete) strategy to get the achievement in the 1480’s.

I moved my capital to Ceuta (not possible any more as you need at least 50% development on the capital-holding continent) and did two no CB wars against two neighboring nations on Madacascar, vassalising one of them and then taking the land of the other.
(you can core ANY land bordering a vassal who is on the same continent as your capital province, in this case Africa)
That means I had core provinces on Madagascar by 1460 and then no CB vassalized some poor OPM on the Indian coast as well as colonizing Diego Garcia / Hollavai.
