Money

When restocking the delivery payments are as follow:

  • 1-3 items -> 2 €
  • 4-6 items -> 4 €
  • 7-10 items -> 8 €

So its good to buy stuff in 3, 6 or 10 sets to save the most in delivery payments.

When testing about items prices few things came around:

MP = Market price

  • MP + 0.1 € = almost none complains
  • MP + 0.15 € = rare occasions of complains
  • MP + <0.15€ = around half or more times complains MP + >1 € = almost none buying the item

So if wanted, items could be sold for 0.1 – 0.2 € higher than market price!

Loans are good way to boost getting the next upgrade or items you need, but its good to notice payment time.

When taking the longest time to pay loan out, if u decide to pay the loan in advance, keep an eye in the payments tab. If you have paid in advance the payments are still there to be paid! This can lead to even higher cost of loan in total.

Other Good to Know

  • Time is not moving at beginning of morning so you can calmly restock and buy items before opening the shop!
  • Customers complain after paying that they did not find something and when looking the items on shelf they complain about prices. So it’s good to look around time to time for complains to improve the shop!
  • The game will sometime inform you if some items are sold without price. But it’s easy to miss, so remember instantly put prices on new items!
  • Storage is not needed unless you want to keep the streets clean. You can store items in streets like in storage but there’s no guarantees the items stay there.
  • There is no penalty, at this game version, for having too long ques to registers. Customers wait until register has more space and meanwhile stay in place or move to a random spot to wait.
  • It’s good to keep in mind that its almost guaranteed that you need to switch items locations time to time if shooting for visual perfection! (After getting new licenses to items, other need to move make room for new items).
  • Large items (like toilet paper, Potato…) take a lot of shelf space, so be ready to put multiple shelf for one item to not get people complaining about missing items!
  • The computer table is movable, so if wanted you can move it elsewhere. Storage room is not taking any furniture in, only boxes! (also furniture in box mode)
  • Good to notice if you yet haven’t: boxes can be closed again. (default key: C) This is helpful if you are not sure is the box empty, the icon will show if there’s something inside it!
  • Be careful when throwing boxes in trashcan. There is no warning if the box have items inside still!

New game

If you click “new game” it deletes the first save you have. You can rename Savefile in the Supermarket Simulator Folder if you want to create a new game and not lose the old one. And then you can play multiple games by renaming the savefiles. The one you want to play should be named Savefile.es3.

Option to refill all required stocks

Restock all your shelves before you open for the day and have a few extra boxes of things that sell quickly sitting on the floor for you to grab quickly and restock the shelves if needed during the day. I know its a bit nuts but until we get shelf stockers in the game, thats what we have to do.

  1. it is even better to buy 2 x 6 items than 1 x 10 items.
    12 (2 x 6) items = 8 €
    10 items = 8 €

  2. I tend to set prices to round numbers, without decimals eg 1 ,2, … etc
    Makes being a cashier much easier!!!

    A rule of thump is to round prices: up if 0.5 and above round them down when below.
    U may lose possible income from some products but gain in others. When the product is by default expensive, you can round up to +2$.
    There will be some customer complaints about prices here and there (about 7% of total customers) but they still buy something else and the – SP is not as bad.

    The help when being a cashier is huge though, just try it out and tell me what yo think!

    • It means that you lost some skill points because you did not have an item or prices were too high. Each time you make a sale, you get more skill points to advance to bigger and better items and such.

  3. You can use an empty box of the proper size to remove items from the shelves to reorganize. The box has to be the same size as the one the product is shipped in.

  4. keeping profits up is proving a challenge, got to level 10 and now im loosing more than im making with price adjustments. im not getting a lot of *its too expensive for me* too. hummm.

  5. I know if they complain a Product has a to high Price they will not buy it, but buy other Stuff.
    Still they are not on the satisfied Customer counter.
    Guess if they not find anything they will go on the Counter too.
    I have buy the Game after seing it on the Stream some guy.
    He also has complain the Customers directly know what you could offerand complain about it as missing.
    The Dev has a Option on the Roadmap where Customer just complain if you had offer them in the past.
    At last the Customers are not leaving if they not find a Itemor if one Item cost to much.
    After all the Numbers of satisfied Customers and not found are just Statistics and maybe have no impact.

  6. Can I specialize in specific products, or do I always need to have all the products on the shelves that I have unlocked?

    • If u don’t have something in shelf they will still shop around. So in theory u could specialize 🙂 downside is that your progression on shop level is slower

  7. I have test your Price Tip, have use 20% fron the Vendor Price on every Product.
    Got a “to much” on every Product.
    My tip I use and it work well, add -,30 Miney on every Items Vendor Price.
    this give you just 2-4 Money Profit but you never get a Complaint and my lvl 16 Store with one Shelf per Item and 12 Products made 600-800 per day.

  8. The prices from here are not entirely accurate. I put about 10% on each MP of products and very rarely have anyone complain about prices being too high.
