How to Fix Stuttering
All credit goes to Zoomer_!
In the main menu options:
- FPS cap set to 120.
- FSR 2, Quality Mode set to Performance (most important setting).
- The option should be under Advanced > Upscaling > AMD FSR 2.
- If you don’t see this, try finding and setting TEMPORAA anti-aliasing.
- Motion Blue – off.
- Depth of Field – off.
UPD: Switch to DirectX 11 hepled some people.
UPD2: Switch Custom preset to default (med, high, ultra).
there is no stuttering fix only the devs can fix this it is dx12 shader compilation stutters the devs are noobs and have not set it up so that the shaders compile before you play that is why everyone will get constant stutters no matter how good your pc is !
FSR performance looks like i just took a drink in Deus Ex Mankind Divided.
I noticed that my default preset was set to custom. I changed this to ULTRA and while there are no more stutters (or rather not as many), FPS is between 40-60 which is very playable. Definitely needs fixes as the game crashed on me once already.
So i guess what i’m saying is changing to a preset seemed to resolve most issues for me.
RTX 3080, 32GB DDR4, i9 10th Gen
Shader compilation stutters aren’t fixable on users side.
It’s the responsibility of the developers to fix it.
Reinstalling or updating your graphics drivers after these supposed “fixes” will just make it reappear again.
worked well, thanks for the help! i have a mid-tier PC so i’m surprised high-end peeps are having problems with the game.
Did all this, and set particle effects to lowest and mesh to medium. Better frame times, and usually consistent 60 FPS.
But I’m on an i9 12900k and RTX 3090. Worst performing game I’ve seen in a while.
Personally im playing without fsr , high settings no blur 60fps, almost perfect on 2060
Mine Works better with Balanced Better than Performance, stutters less
Only disabling Motion Blur greatly improved performance in my case.
Might want to add the engine ini location to your guide. the location is:
